Despite an ongoing debate about the worth of elite business schools and recent declines in applications, there's been a noticeable increase in expected salaries after graduation for MBA students at one of the best business schools in the country.

An MBA Careers Report released by the Wharton School (which Business Insider and ranking partner QS Quacquarelli Symonds named the top MBA program in the world) quantifies that increase at $15,000: The median base salary for the class of 2018 was $135,000, while the median for this year's class was $150,000. There were 863 students, according to the school's report.

These high salaries apply for a majority of Wharton's class of 2019. Of the 76.9% of students who sought employment after graduation, 98.5% reported job offers. Students entered industries ranging from consulting to health care, although a majority of students went into either finance or consulting.
