Clubhouse for Android is now available in India, but it may be too little too late
- You can now download Clubhouse for Android from the Google Play store.
- The Android version was launched in the US earlier this month – more than a year after the iOS version was launched.
- The launch comes at a time when several companies have either launched or announced Clubhouse-like features in their apps and services.
“With Android, we believe that Clubhouse will feel more complete. We are so grateful to all of the Android users out there for their patience,” the company said in its blog post.

Over a year later, the Android version is finally here, but this happened only after downloads fell by 90% according to Sensor Tower data.
After falling to 2.7 million downloads in March, the app witnessed another major fall in April, registering only 9,22,000 installs.
The app saw participation from people like American talk show host Oprah Winfery, Tesla’s Elon Musk, Shark Tank’s Kevin O’Leary, actor Aston Kutcher, entertainer Kevin Hart, rapper Drake among others.
Clubhouse has to fend off Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn among others
LinkedIn has also jumped into the race with its own take on social audio.
Instagram, the Facebook-owned photo sharing app, has tweaked its live broadcasting feature to make it more Clubhouse-like.
Clubhouse crosses 500 thousand downloads
The app has now crossed 500 thousand downloads and has a rating of 3.3 stars on the Play Store soon after its launch.
