​Instagram tops the list of most downloaded applications in Q4, 2022

Sensor Tower revealed a report of the top applications downloaded in different regions from the App Store and Google Play in Quarter 4, 2022. A total of 35.5 billion application downloads were seen worldwide. This post has curated a list of the top applications downloaded worldwide.

Most downloaded app in Q4, 2022

Instagram tops the list of the most downloaded applications. The application had approximately 30 million downloads from the App Store and 200 million from Google Play.

Most downloaded gaming app in Q4, 2022

Subway Surfers was the most downloaded game application. The application had around 20 million downloads from the App Store and around 60 million downloads from Google Play.

5 out of 10 most applications downloaded were from Meta

In the top 10 downloaded applications list, half applications were from Meta. Instagram ranked number one, Facebook ranked number three, WhatsApp ranked number five, WhatsApp Business ranked number nine, and Messenger ranked number eight.

Tiktok

The short video-sharing platform Tiktok is the second most downloaded application. It had nearly 60 million installations from the App Store and around 180 million from Google Play Store.

CapCut

CapCut is a video editor application ranked the fourth most downloaded application. Approximately 50 million users downloaded this application from the App Store and nearly 140 million users from the Play Store.However, it is essential to note that this application is unavailable on the App Store and Play Store in India.

Snapchat

Snapchat allows you to send snaps to your friends, view stories around the world, and discover news. It is the sixth most-downloaded application, with around 20 million App Store downloads and around 100 million Play Store downloads.

Telegram

Telegram is considered a great alternative to WhatsApp. While WhatsApp ranks as the fifth most downloaded application, Telegram stands in the seventh position.

Spotify

Spotify ranks as the tenth most downloaded application. The application witnessed 20 million downloads from the App Store and 80 million from the Play Store.
