MX TakaTak is the most downloaded social and entertainment app in India, and the ninth most downloaded globally. It’s a short video app similar to TikTok.

Instagram is the only app to stay in the top five ranking from the social media giants including Facebook and WhatsApp.

Josh is another short video app and is one of the most popular in India. It was the third most downloaded social app in India during the first half of 2021.

Another short video app that made it to the top five ranking is Moj. It is owned by regional social networking platform, Sharechat.

Facebook dropped from the top slot to the 6th position for the most downloaded social and entertainment apps in India.
