With HTC’s own Sense UI in place, this phone has the best features cherry-picked from the iOS and the Android. In addition, it is a brilliant piece of machinery to look at and use.

It is slim, quick, users get a whopping 12 hours of battery backup and the screen is brilliant to work on. Need we say more?

Yes, it has faced tough competition from some of the Sony Alphas and Nikons, but has prevailed because of its great pricing and performance. A 9 point auto focus system and 18 MP sensor do the magic, and users end up getting fabulous photographs. We, for one, were spellbound by this camera’s LCD. This one is perfect for indoor and outdoor shots.

You can switch between them at the press of button. And don’t even get us started in the brilliant open world, which has no boundaries. GTA V is definitely a game-changer.

It has the latest KitKat Android OS and will get the latest upgrades before any other Android device. Made by LG and backed by Google, this smartphone comes with an impossible-to-match price tag, putting any other multi-national phone-maker on the backfoot. LG threw everything in this phone except the kitchen sink. So here you are – Business Insider India’s Gadget of the Year is Google LG Nexus 5.
