Companies now use AI to find the best candidate for a job. Ben Reuveni, co-founder of Gloat, came up with a different idea: use AI to help businesses find the best candidate within its ranks.

In fact, Gloat aims to help businesses keep their best people by giving them an idea what their careers could be like within the company.

On Tuesday, Gloat, which started in Israel in 2015, said it raised another $25 million from venture capital investors by Intel Capital and Eight Roads Ventures, a fund affiliated with Fidelity. The startup has raised a total of $33 million.

Gloat's technology enables businesses set up an internal talent marketplace to make it easier to fill positions and offer employees a way to define a career plan within the company.

"We show people that the next step could be within the company," Reuveni told Business Insider. "They wouldn;t need to leave the company in order to find the next 10 years.

Gloat, which has 65 employees, is used by major companies including Unilever and Schneider Electric. Reuveni said their technology is typically used by companies with at least 5,000 employees. The startup is based in New York and Tel Aviv, and is looking to use the funding to hire new staff and expand its R&D efforts.
