In April, Instagram announced that product tagging is available for anyone as this feature was only accessible to creators and brands. With this update, users will be able to tag a brand and can specify a product on published feed posts. If users tap on the product tag they will be able to see detailed information about the product. Additionally, they can also purchase the product directly from the app or brand’s page.

Currently, this feature is only available for U.S users.

Updated editing tools for Reels
Instagram has recently updated its editing tools for Reels. With this update, you can re-arrange and trim video clips within the Reels.
To edit clips, go to Instagram app and open Reels. Record a video or upload a video. Go to ‘preview video clips’ and tap ‘edit clips’ on the button left corner. To enter the reorder mode tap on the reorder button and use drag and drop to reorder your video clips.

New Hashtag feature
Recently, to support and fundraise for important social causes, Instagram has launched new hashtag options. Simply put, Instagram defines which hashtags are relevant and represent the actual social causes.
