FaceApp, the Russian artificial intelligence (AI) based photo editor infamous for switching out user ethnicities, is building hype over its aging and anti-aging algorithms for photos.

Its return has also brought back security concerns from users about how the app is using their data and whether its uploading photos from the library in the background.

Experts conclude that the security loopholes while using the photo editor might be more Apple’s fault than FaceApp.
