Xiaomi could soon release the new Mi Notebook laptops in India. As per a leak, it is rumoured that the company could be launching the Redmi brand laptop for the first time in India later this month.

A tweet by tipster Ishan Agarwal claims that Xiaomi will soon launch new Mi Notebooks in India. The tweet adds that Redmi laptops are lined up for launch later this month.


The Chinese technology company has an ever-expanding product portfolio, and it entered the Indian laptop market last year with Mi Notebook 14. Later the company launched Mi Notebook Horizon Edition and an e-learning edition that features an in-built webcam.

We expect to see Mi Notebook Pro 15 and Mi Notebook Pro 14 at the launch, which were launched in China earlier this year. The Mi Notebook Pro 15 comes features a base model with an Intel i5 processor and 16GB of RAM, 512GB SSD storage and Intel's Iris Xe graphics platform. It was launched for CNY 6,499 (approx. ₹ 74,900).

The Mi Notebook Pro 15 that comes with Nvidia's MX450 was launched at CNY 6,999 (approx. ₹ 80,700). The Mi Notebook Pro 15 sports a 15.6-inch OLED display with a 16:10 aspect ratio while the Mi Notebook Pro 14 is equipped with a 14-inch screen and starts at CNY 5,299 (approx ₹ 61,111).

Xiaomi has also launched Redmi brand laptops in China and we may see the models in the rumoured upcoming launch. RedmiBook, which was released in China earlier this year, could come to India with either Intel or AMD processors. We can expect them to be priced at an affordable rate in India.

Xiaomi could also launch the upgraded versions of the existing models in India. As we are yet to hear from Xiaomi, we will only know what they are offering in the Indian market at the time of launch. We can expect the Mi laptops to come with a competitive price tag and offer flagship internals at a relatively cheaper price.
