How to change your Epic Games email to a new address and update your account login details

  • To change your Epic Games email, you will need access to your current and new email address.

Epic Games may not be a household name, but its flagship online multiplayer game "Fortnite" sure is.

The game's meteoric rise has fueled the company's expansion, including the Epic Games Store launch in December 2018. Since then, it has become one of digital video game distributor Steam's biggest competitors.

If you want to play "Fortnite" or any other Epic exclusive, you'll need an account, and thankfully, signing up is easy.

Accounts can be linked to Facebook profiles, Nintendo accounts, Apple IDs, and even Steam profiles. But many choose to create an account using their email.

Changing the email address associated with your account is easy, but note that you won't be able to change it again for 90 days once you verify your new email.

How to change your Epic Games email

1. Sign in to your Epic Games account.

2. Complete the captcha challenge if prompted.

3. While on the General Settings tab, click on the blue edit icon next to your email address.

4. Enter a new email address not attached to another Epic Games account.

5. Click "CONFIRM."

6. A window asking for a security code will appear. The code will be in your old email's inbox.

7. Retrieve the code from your inbox and enter it in the pop-up window.

8. Select "CONTINUE."

9. You'll receive an automated email with a verification link in your updated email address inbox. Click the "VERIFY YOUR EMAIL" link to finish.
