Apple and Samsung rule the top-selling smartphones list

According to a Counterpoint Research report, Apple and Samsung are the only companies to make it to the list of top ten selling smartphones in Q1 2024 worldwide.

Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max

The top-end Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max tops the list, with a market share of 4.4 percent in Q1 2024. Meaning, out of every 1000 smartphones sold, 44 were an iPhone 15 Pro Max.

After the top device in the latest iPhone series, the next device on the list is the vanilla iPhone 15. The device is a close second with a market share of 4.3 percent.

The iPhone 14, which likely received a good discount after the launch of the iPhone 15 series is next on the list, with a market share of 1.9 percent.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra

The next device on the list is Samsung’s premium offering, the Galaxy S24 Ultra. It has emerged as the best-selling Android smartphone, with a market share of 1.9 percent.

The Galaxy A15 5G is the next device on the list and is the top-selling mid-range smartphone. It had a market share of 1.5 percent in Q1 2024.
