The OnePlus 10R 5G is not just one of the most powerful smartphones made by the company, it also brings forth a fresh design that evolves the aesthetics of previous OnePlus R series devices, taking it into newer pastures. It pushes the envelope for OnePlus’ core burdenless, cohesive, and attractive design philosophy even further, with a look that’s as distinct as it is functional.

The design story begins from the rear cover of the smartphone. The OnePlus 10R sports a nano-level dot matrix finish on the rear that gives it that unique look, and also prevents smudges and fingerprints from leaving impressions. This process is heightened under the camera module, with a pinstripe pattern delivering a dual-tone finish to the phone. Place any other budget flagship beside the OnePlus 10R, and the latter will instantly stand out.

It also weighs just 186 grams, which is far lighter than most flagship phones in the market. With 8.3mm of thickness, the OnePlus 10R is built for ergonomics and comfort.

Furthermore, the OnePlus 10R sports totally flat edges, with a thick 8.17mm frame that aids in grip and comfort, especially when using the phone horizontally, like during gaming. It’s offered in two colors - Sierra Black and Forest Green. Our eyes are on the latter.

The display is the biggest attraction in the design. With barely visible bezels, the flat AMOLED display of the OnePlus 10R takes up all the attention. It’s hyper smooth with 120Hz refresh rate and immersive with HDR10+ support and 10-bit color depth. Features like Night Mode, Eye Comfort, Reading Mode, etc. go a long way in making the display attuned to the eyes, letting users derive comfort within immersiveness.

Inside, the OxygenOS 12.1 UI takes care of the aesthetics. The company has promised three major Android updates and four years of security updates, which is great. And this time around, there are new features centred around work, rest and play. OxygenOS remains just as fluid and minimalist as before, with useful additions for enhanced personalisations.

The OnePlus 10R’s biggest achievement, however, is the support for 150W charging. That’s the fastest anybody has gone yet, in smartphones. The company claims the bundled charger can top up the device from 0 to 100 in just 17 minutes. It takes more time to finish a sitcom episode. But fret not, because OnePlus has also put in added reinforcements to protect battery health from depleting with such high-power charging.

If all this catches your fancy, the OnePlus 10R 5G is retailing starting at Rs 38,999 in India and is available on open sale on and the OnePlus online store.
