Motorola Razr vs Samsung Galaxy Z Flip: Design
The Motorola Razr is the first phone to bring back the flip phone design. The primary display is similar to most smartphones these days and when folded, it has a significantly smaller footprint. The hinge on the device allows it to fold properly and eliminates the issues faced by Galaxy Fold.
The secondary display is big enough to show notifications and take selfies easily. The device is hard to use with one-hand and you will have to use both your hands to open the device.
Coming to the Galaxy Z Flip, Samsung has improved the hinge from the Galaxy Fold and it feels stiff and strong. The Galaxy Z Flip features a dual camera setup at the back and a single selfie camera at the front.
The secondary display on the Galaxy Z Flip is much smaller. It shows the date, time and battery percentage when the phone is closed. When you receive a call, the phone shows a notification in the form of a scrolling name.
Motorola Razr vs Samsung Galaxy Z Flip: Display
The Motorola Razr features a plastic display like the Galaxy Fold and is pretty thin, meaning that you will be able to feel the hinge and other ridges when you use the phone. While the display does not crease in the middle, the screen is not completely flat when even unfolded completely.
For Galaxy Z Flip, Samsung has used ultra-thin glass instead of plastic for the display. However, as the glass is very thin, it is not as durable as standard phones. To increase durability, Samsung has covered the glass with a second layer of plastic.
The secondary display of the Motorola Razr is much bigger than the one on the Galaxy Z Flip and provides much more information.
VerdictThe Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is the winner due to its powerful chipset, glass display, better hinge, cameras, bigger battery and comparatively lower price.
