OnePlus 7T Pro and its McLaren Edition launch in India starting at ₹53,999

After the launch of the OnePlus TV and the OnePlus 7T, the Chinese smartphone maker has now introduced the OnePlus 7T Pro in the Indian market. The OnePlus 7T Pro also has a McLaren variant of the device.


The main difference between the OnePlus 7T Pro and its McLaren counterpart is the design of the body. The McLaren smartphone comes in Papaya Orange and a has a pattern finish which lies underneath the glass on the phone’s back.

It also sports the McLaren logo, custom themes and wallpapers.

OnePlus 7T Pro price and availability

The OnePlus 7T Pro is available in Haze Blue, just the one color. It’s been priced at ₹ 53,999. The Papaya Orange OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren edition, on the other hand, is more expensive for ₹ 58,999.

Both phones will go on sale starting 12 October 2018. They will be available to purchase from Amazon India, OnePlus online store and OnePlus Experience offline stores.

OnePlus 7T Pro specifications

The price difference between the two phones may seem stark but they are distinct in more ways than one. The OnePlus 7T pro has 8GB RAM and 256 GB UFS 3.0 storage. The McLaren edition ups the ante by offering 12GB RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage.

Both phones are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset coupled with the Andreno 640 GPU.

They also run on Android 10 out of the box with with OxygenoS 10.0 layered on top.

The phones’ screens are a 6.67-inch Quad HD Plus Fluid AMOLED display that have a refresh rate of 90Hz, which is capable of handling most games currently available in the Google Play Store. The higher the refresh rate, the smoother the graphics and animations.

In the camera department, the OnePlus 7T Pro and OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren have a triple camera setup in the back. The primary camera is a 48 megapixel sensors coupled with an 8 megapixel telephoto lens and a 16 megapixel ultra wide lens. In the front, the phones have a 16 megapixel pop-up selfie camera.

The OnePlus 7T Pro is powered by a 4,080mAh battery with Warp Charge 30T fast charge support. Connectivity options on the device include dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and a USB Type-C port.
