Uber users will soon be able to book rides through a chatbot viaWhatsApp .- In the first instance, the feature will only be rolled out in Delhi NCR.

The feature will be available from this week; initially, only the Delhi/NCR residents will have access to it. People can book a ride either from the Uber application or through an official Uber chatbot on WhatsApp. The chatbot will support both English and Hindi languages to make it suitable for people of different regions.
Uber said, "We recognise that to keep expanding access to our services, we need to meet users where they are. And in India, that means WhatsApp, one of India’s most popular chat apps."
How to book a
- Send ‘Hi’ to Uber's Business Whatsapp number.
- Select the language from English and Hindi.
- The chatbot will ask you to write the pickup location and send you the location options to choose from per your requirement. OR you can directly share your location.
- After this, you will be asked to write the drop location and send you the location options to choose from per your requirement.
- The chatbot will ask for an OTP sent to your number to confirm that it’s you.
- After verifying the OTP, you will be given ride options to select.
- Then you will be given the option to edit details, cancel or confirm the ride.
- After confirming the ride, all the vehicle and driver details will be shared with you.
