Netflix is nearing 200 million paid subscribers globally, a marker that will begin a new chapter of growth for the streaming giant.


Inside, Netflix has been reorienting its leadership team to prepare for this next phase.

It named longtime content chief Ted Sarandos co-CEO alongside Reed Hastings this year, expanded product chief Greg Peters' mandate to include operations oversight, and hired celebrated exec Bozoma Saint John as its chief marketing officer.

Meanwhile, content exec Bela Bajaria has stepped into the top role overseeing global TV, while other high-profile execs including Cindy Holland and Channing Dungey have departed.

The reorganization comes as Netflix battles new rivals including Disney Plus, HBO Max, and Peacock. So far, none have meaningfully threatened Netflix's streaming stronghold, but the streaming wars are far from over.
