While the roll-out of iOS 14 has brought some great features, some users are reporting issues when using Apple's messaging app.

The reported issues include messages being read before the user actually sees them, and a 2-3 second delay while composing messages. The phone eventually catches up to what the user was typing, but the constant stop-and-go has some people frustrated.

People have been highlighting the bug on various social platforms including TikTok and Twitter, and multiple people at Business Insider were able to replicate the typing-delay issue.

"How about the delayed typing too," one TikTok user commented on a viral post about issues with texts not being delivered. The comment received 43,500 likes and over 500 comments.

For now, there doesn't seem to be a fix, although some users on Apple's support forum have found temporary workarounds for the bug, including resetting the keyboard dictionary.

If that solution doesn't work, popular Apple support websites and blogs have suggested disabling both iMessage and FaceTime and then force restarting the phone and re-enabling both apps.

This isn't the first reported bug with iOS 14 since its launch.

The update allowed users to set their own default internet browser, but whenever the phone tuned off, the settings would go back to Safari as the default. While it was a simple fix to change it back, users were still frustrated with the bug.

Apple did not respond to requests for comment on a possible timeline for an upcoming fix.
