The PlayStation 5, the PlayStation 5 Pro and the dual-sense controllers are among the devices that are getting a makeover. Sony’s making only a handful of such consoles and is advising people to pre-order so that they don’t miss out.

Sony has taken PlayStation fans on a nostalgic trip back in time with the unveiling of a special retro design for the PlayStation 5. The company revealed its limited-edition PlayStation

The PS5 Pro bundle, for instance, includes a 2TB SSD, Wi-Fi 7 support (in supported regions), and a collection of accessories such as the DualSense wireless controller and a vertical stand. Fans will also get collector’s items like a poster, a PlayStation sticker, and even a quirky PlayStation-themed paperclip, making it a perfect homage to the original console.
Meanwhile, the PS5 Digital Edition will come with a 1TB SSD and similar accessories, minus the disc drive. Standalone items in the anniversary collection, including the DualSense Edge Wireless Controller and PlayStation Portal Remote Player, will also be available in the new retro theme.
Gamers are excited
Ever since the new look was announced, gamers across the globe have been expressing their excitement about it."Wow, they nailed the PlayStation 30th anniversary collection, right down to the box art," a user wrote while another one mentioned, "PlayStation bringing back memories! With only 12,300 units available, each console will have a unique number etched onto it, symbolising the December 3, 1994, release date of the first PlayStation.
The PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection will be available for pre-order from September 26, exclusively on PlayStation’s official site in select regions, with wider retailer pre-orders starting October 10. The price details of the consoles are not out yet.
