Google this year gave Gmail a new look and it also added a bunch of features for better collaboration and productivity.

Here’s a list of the latest Gmail features that you can use to make the most out of the email service.

Voice and video calls on the app

This new feature lets you make voice and video calls directly from the Gmail app on iOS and Android. You no longer have to send a Google Meet link to make calls.

Unsend emails

Google already lets you unsend emails but only five seconds after it’s sent. It now lets you unsend an email within 5, 10, 20, or 30 seconds.

Schedule emails

You can schedule emails in Gmail by tapping on the arrow icon just next to the send button. Choose the time and date and schedule the email.

Gmail widget on iOS

Google recently added a new Gmail iOS widget that shows the senders and subjects of your most recent emails.

Improved search tool on Android

You can narrow down your search by choosing the search filters like specific timeframe, colleague’s name and more.

You can now set a custom status for your Gmail account. You can choose preset status like commuting, vacationing or write your own.

Spaces for collaboration

Spaces in Gmail lets you collaborate with others across apps like Google Sheets, Calendar, Drive and more. You can create teams in Spaces and work on different projects together.

Save images directly to Google Photos

This is a nifty feature that lets you save images you get on Gmail directly to Google Photos. You can do this by selecting the Google Photos button that appears on the images received in Gmail.
