'Background won’t define success'
The ex-Microsoft India employee wrote that when he first joined Microsoft, he was struck by the diversity of his colleagues. The team included alumni from prestigious institutions like IITs and NITs, as well as graduates from private colleges. Despite the varied educational backgrounds, he noticed that two traits stood out among his peers: exceptional skills and unwavering dedication.
He said that at Microsoft India , the standout professionals were those with strong abilities in data structures and algorithms, as well as software development. What truly mattered was not the name of their college but their skills and commitment to constantly improving them. Passion and proficiency, he argued, are the real drivers of success in the tech world.
