You only have 7 months to buy Nintendo's new, remastered 3D Mario games for the Switch

• A trio of classic 3D "Super Mario" games are getting remastered for the Nintendo Switch: "Super Mario 64," "Super Mario Sunshine," and "Super Mario Galaxy."
• The three remastered games will be released as "Super Mario 3D All-Stars" on September 18. But it will only be available for a limited time, Nintendo said on Thursday.
• In March 2021, the game will be pulled from Nintendo's digital storefront, and physical copies will be limited.

The next major "Super Mario" game for the Nintendo Switch is a remaster of three classic games, all in a single package named "Super Mario 3D All-Stars."

With "Super Mario 3D All-Stars," players will get "Super Mario 64," "Super Mario Sunshine," and "Super Mario Galaxy — all with "higher resolutions than their original versions" that Nintendo says were "optimized for a smooth gameplay experience."

But there's a catch: The collection is only available for a limited time.

"'Super Mario 3D All-Stars' will be available as a limited-run retail edition and a digital edition that is available for a limited time until the end of March 2021," the game's product page says. The press release announcing the game was even more specific: The game "will be available until approximately March 31, 2021," it says.

That includes both physical and digital copies of the game — if you don't buy it through the Nintendo eShop prior to the end of March 2021, it's unclear when you'll be able to buy it again. Nintendo representatives did not respond to a request for comment as of publishing.

The name of the collection, like the games it collects, is a nostalgic throwback: "Super Mario All-Stars" was a Super Nintendo game that collected a variety of NES "Super Mario Bros." games into a combined package with updated visuals.
