A new malware called Agent Smith could have affected apps like WhatsApp, Hotstar, Truecaller, Flipkart, Jio Chat and Jio Play according to Check Point. With this malware, instead of the original app you might have a version which is littered with ads.

Flipkart is looking to stop buying products directly from companies, in a move to wind up its wholesale business. It is now taking the long route of asking their suppliers to connect with its preferred sellers instead.

A professor from IIT Madras has said the issue can be easily resolved without diluting the end-to-end encryption and affecting a user’s privacy. Traceability of WhatsApp messages had become an issue for the Indian government after multiple lynching cases in the country that were linked to rumours spread from the messaging platform.
