Monster's AirLinks Elements earbuds were unveiled during CES 2017, but the company announced during this year's CES that its earbuds will be available to consumers starting in February, selling for $250. The earbuds are designed to resemble precious gemstones and also include an AI assistant called Melody, which can pull music and content from services including iHeartRadio, Spotify Premium, Tidal, NPR news briefs, and iTunes. Monster will also offer the sweat- and water-resistant AirLinks iSport earbuds in March for $200.Sony's WF-SP700N earbuds are completely wireless and include noise cancellation technology. They will sell for $179.99 in the spring. The wired WI-SP600N earbuds also feature noise-cancellation technology and will sell for $149.99. The WI-SP500 earbuds are also wired and allow for up to eight hours of battery life in a single charge. They will sell for $79.99. Moshi's Avanti headphones were popular in 2017, but the company updated them in 2018 to be wireless. The new Avanti Air headphones feature the same stylish design and high-resolution audio drivers, they also offer up to 27 hours of battery life and a quick-charging feature that adds 4 hours of power in a 15-minute charge. The headphones are available for $299.99. The B&O Play H9i headphones have a decent battery life of about 18 hours, but they also include gesture features aimed at conserving battery power. B&O Play also showcased the H8i headphones, which will sell for $399. They are similar headphones, don't include the gesture features of the H9i model. Jabra is well-known for quality headphones, so its Elite 65t and Elite Active 65t shouldn't disappoint. The Elite 65t are flagship-quality while the Elite Active 65t are activity-focused. Both earbud models support about 5 hours of battery life and an additional 10 hours with their charging case. The Jabra Sound+ app allows users to organize and optimize music and audio content to the headphones. The headphones are also compatible with Siri, Google Now and Amazon Alexa AI assistant features. The Elite 65t will sell for $190 and the Elite Active 65t for $170 when they release later in January. The Audeze iSine LX headphones have received rave reviews at CES for their audio and bass performance and a fair price tag of $199. The headphones are currently available only in the US. The Libratone Track+ headphones are interesting in that they have an Active Noise Cancelling feature that allows users to choose the level of noise cancellation they desire. There are four levels of noise cancellation as well as a Hush mode that does not block any outside noise while the headphones are in use. The headphones are water-resistant and geared toward active users and commuters. The Libratone Track+ headphones will sell for $199 when they release this summer. The Anker Zolo Liberty+ earbuds will support Bluetooth 5 when they release later in January for $149.99. The updated Bluetooth standard allows data to transfer at twice the speed of Bluetooth 4.2. The new protocol is slowly being adopted on to electronic devices. The Zolo Liberty+ charging case packs up to 48 hours of battery life, but the earbuds last for about 3.5 hours. Sennheiser is known for its high-end and highly expensive headphones. But its CX 6.00BT wireless headphones, which were showcased at CES 2018, cost only $99. The headphones are meant to be lightweight and easy to charge. They hold about 6 hours of battery life and can charge from 0% to full in just 1.5 hours. Users can also connect the headphones to two devices at the same time and alternate primary use. Qualcomm didn't announce any headphones at CES, but it did unveil a new chip, which may be seen in future smart wireless headphones and earbuds. Qualcomm says the QCC5100 chip is expected to allow wireless headphones to have all-day battery life, improved audio quality and noise-canceling abilities, as well as dedicated control of voice functions like phone calls and smart assistants.
