1. US President Donald Trump reportedly insisted to Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi that Mexico would pay for the border wall. Trump said that would happen via the newly updated North American Free Trade Agreement, but some have claimed his proposal doesn't make sense.

2. UK Prime Minister Theresa May is on the brink of a no confidence vote. Sources told Business Insider that more than 48 Tory MPs have submitted letters of no-confidence - enough to trigger a formal leadership spill.

3. Meng Wanzhou, the CFO of Chinese telecom equipment manufacturer Huawei and its founder's daughter, has been granted bail by a Canadian court. Meng will go into private custody as Canada awaits news of Michael Kovrig, a former top diplomat, reportedly detained in China.

4. President Trump gave his most direct endorsement of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Trump told Reuters that Saudi Arabia has been a "very good ally" and that the crown prince remains "very strongly in power" in the wake of Jamal Khashoggi's brutal murder.

5. Google CEO Sundar Pichai said more than 100 Google employees were working on a censored China search engine at one point. At a House Judiciary Committee meeting Pichai was grilled about whether the company will reenter the Chinese market.

6. Michael Flynn's lawyers asked for 200 hours of community service and no prison time in a sentencing memo. Flynn pleaded guilty in December 2017 of lying to the FBI regarding his communications with contacts in Russia.

7. President Trump said he would intervene in the Justice Department's case against Huawei. Trump told Reuters when asked about getting involved, "Whatever's good for this country, I would do."

8. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said she and Paul Ryan were treated very differently when they were elected to Congress, both at about age 28. Paul Ryan was hailed as a "genius" when he was elected, while she says she gets called a "fraud."

9. CBS News settled a lawsuit with 3 women who accused former host Charlie Rose of sexual harassment. The terms of the settlement are confidential.

10. Delta has barred all emotional-support animals on long flights. Delta says the policy change is in response to an 84% increase since 2016 in incidents involving emotional-support and service animals.
