The venerable Dyson vacuum is the subject of many a conversation that usually starts with nods of intense concentration and ends with the question, "Wait it costs how much?" Dyson's famous cordless vacuums have always been an investment, but according to passionate fans, they're completely worth it for how well they clean your dust- and debris-ridden homes.

The powerhouse vacuums - we've tried and loved models like the V8 Animal and the new V11 Torque Drive - don't go on sale often, but if history indicates anything, they'll be discounted during Amazon's annual sale event, Prime Day.

Last year, the Dyson V8 Absolute Cordless Stick Vacuum was on sale for $364.99. Shoppers saved $135 from the original price of $499.99. Granted, $365 is still a lot to pay for a vacuum, but that's a 27% discount off a product designed to make your life a little easier.

This lightweight, hassle-free vacuum has a 40-minute run time, and its instant-release trigger means you're only using up the battery power when the vacuum is actually in use. It comes with a set of smaller, specialized attachments like a crevice tool and soft dusting brush, so all you have to do is switch out the heads to address specific cleaning problems. Its whole-machine filtration machine helps clean the air as you clean your floors. Once you're done cleaning, the bin releases into your trash can with a single action.

Because the V8 series is one of Dyson's most popular, it's possible it'll be discounted on Prime Day 2019. We're also thinking the newer V10 series, with its more powerful motor and longer battery time, has a chance of being on sale. The new V11 Torque Drive, while sleek and ultra-powerful, is unlikely to enjoy any deals this Prime Day.
