The latest leak on Samsung's next big screen phone is going to make a lot of people angry
Business Insider
That means the Note 5 probably won't have a removable back, which is bad news for people who like to switch out their batteries or add additional storage for media with a microSD card.
One of the things people tend to love about Samsung phones is their flexibility in storage and battery options.
However, it's good news for those who want their devices to look and feel premium. Samsung has been using plastic backs and plastic faux-chrome borders for its Galaxy Note line, which some users complained didn't look and feel like a premium device that demanded top Dollar.
The same went for the regular Galaxy line until the latest Galaxy S6/S6 Edge models, which now sport glass backs and aluminum borders that look and feel positively premium.
SamMobile also reports that both the Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will feature 5.7-inch displays.
There's no mention about the Note 5's rumored curved back, nor was there any indication that Samsung is working on a successor to the Galaxy Note Edge, which had a single curved edge on the display's right.
Despite the new premium materials on the new Galaxy S6/S6 Edge, Samsung has been experiencing its seventh quarterly year-on-year decline in profit, and its revenues are down 8.4%. It means that premium materials aren't enough for consumers to choose Samsung devices over others.
