Brooklyn Beckham said Selena Gomez told him he made the best chicken wings she's ever had
  • Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz joked that they're in a "throuple" with Selena Gomez.
  • Beckham often cooks for them, and he told Insider that Gomez was a big fan of his chicken wings.

Brooklyn Beckham counts Selena Gomez as one of his closest friends, and his wife Nicola Peltz often jokes that they're in a "throuple" because they spend so much time together.

So when Beckham sat down with Insider to discuss his new partnership with the kitchen-appliance company Typhur, we had to ask about the dishes he's cooked for Gomez.

"Selena loves chicken wings, so I made her and her little sister Gracie and my wife chicken wings in the air fryer," Beckham said. "And she was blown away."

"She was like, 'Oh my God, these are the best chicken wings I've ever had,'" he added.

Gomez and Peltz became close after reconnecting at a gala in September 2022, and Peltz told Cosmopolitan UK in March that the "Only Murders in the Building" actor was her "soul sister."

"I love her so much. She's truly one of the most amazing people I've ever met in my whole life," Peltz said. "The kindest person ever. Truly, her heart is gold. I feel like I've known her forever."

That same month, Beckham called Gomez a "sweet girl" and "very talented" on "The Jennifer Hudson Show."

"I love when my wife makes new friends, especially really great friends," he added. "We all get along."

Beckham wouldn't tell us the "special ingredients" in the chicken wings that Gomez loves so much, but he said he always adds salt, pepper, paprika, and buttermilk.

"I always use simple spices," he added. "I think simple is sometimes the best. I try to keep it as simple as possible."

But Beckham said he hasn't perfected the recipe just yet.

"Chicken wings are difficult to make because you want it moist, you don't want them too dry, and you want enough spice," he added. "I still mess up making them all the time. But every time I make them, they get a little better. The more you practice, the better you'll get."

Beckham is also still working on his spaghetti bolognese sauce, which he controversially cooks with a wine cork in the pot.

"So I actually don't know where I learned that, but a chef told me to do that, and every time I make spaghetti bolognese, it's just been a habit," Beckham told Insider. "I don't know if it does anything, but I remember someone telling me to do that."

Beckham said he first learned how to make spaghetti bolognese from his dad David, and that they always have "little cooking competitions."

"My dad loves cooking, so he used to cook it all the time when I was a little kid," Beckham said. "I would be so excited coming home from school and seeing my dad make spaghetti bolognese."
