An artist in Mexico specializes in double-vision tattoos that are basically optical illusions
  • Yatzil Elizalde, a tattoo artist in Mexico, specializes in trippy, double-vision designs.
  • Her signature tattoos feature multiple versions of the same image on top of each other, making for a dizzying look.
  • You need to squint to see her designs as single images.

Yatzil Elizalde, 25, is the owner of White Light, a tattoo studio in Hermosillo, Mexico.

She started her career as a visual artist, doing illustrations, murals, and digital work until she was "finally able to tattoo a human body with the style that always defined me."

That style can roughly be described as double vision: Some of her signature tattoos feature the same image twice, sometimes even three times, and always slightly off from one another, leading to a dizzying look.

"It's going to sound weird, but there are some times in my life when I see things that way, 'dizzy,'" she told Insider. She calls it the "Blurry Effect."

Keep scrolling to see some of her favorite optical illusion-like designs.
