Eric & Jay's RV Resort has launched in Houston, Texas during a time in which more Americans have expressed interest in RV trips amid the pandemic.

The resort was founded by Jay Fields and Eric Houston, two friends who had a "long-held dream" of creating an RV resort in their hometown, Houston, according to the company's website. Now, their dream RV resort has come to life, just a short drive away from the Texas Medical Center, Houston Zoo, and the Museum District.

Its location is strategic: along with the obvious tourism market in Houston, the 10-acre resort also hopes to serve staff and patients from the Medical Center, according to a statement by Fields. To cater to this, the resort has set up a daily shuttle service to the medical center.

"Our goal for this endeavor has been two-fold: creating a passion project that would tap into our shared interests while filling a niche in an underserved market," Fields said in a statement.
