On Friday, Jaclyn Hill shared her own post about her former husband, writing that she "can't believe this day has actually come" and that she feels "so out" of her mind.

"I know we ended our marriage but we never stopped loving & caring for each other," she wrote on Instagram. "All I ever wanted was for you to find your happiness & be free from your struggles. My heart is broken knowing that you are gone but my spirit knows that you are finally free."

Jaclyn and Jon Hill married in August 2009, and the couple frequently made YouTube videos together that appeared on the makeup mogul's channel.

In May 2018, Jaclyn Hill shared on social media that she and her husband were divorcing, saying that while they didn't work as husband and wife, they "always made good friends."

She continued using Jon Hill's last name professionally after their split and occasionally voiced support for her former husband as he faced drug addiction.

"It's so hard to be a 'social media influencer' and know when to talk about things & when not to," Jaclyn Hill tweeted in 2021. "But please send prayers to Jon Hill. He was my best friend starting at 15 years old. He has been open about his addiction & he needs your prayers."

Jon Hill also spoke about his addiction frequently. He told Billboard in 2019 that he first tried prescription pills at 17 and had struggled with addiction since.

"During our third year of marriage, it got to a point where I was having seizures because I was on so much stuff," he told Billboard at the time. "I started breaking out in hives. So it became noticeable that something was wrong."

Jon Hill told the publication that he eventually stopped using drugs, but that his wife "decided she didn't want to" be with him anymore.

"That was a huge shock to me," he told Billboard. "We were married for nine years. For some reason, I was thinking about how amazing it would be to enjoy Christmas with her while being clean. She often said, 'You don't love me because you never want to do things with me.' But it was because I kept having to hide [my addiction] from her all the time."

"So coming home to see all my stuff gone and not knowing who she's with, I was just devastated," he said. "Within two months, I was back on drugs."

Jaclyn Hill is now engaged to the YouTuber Jordan Farnum, with whom she's been in a relationship for more than four years.

Representatives for Jaclyn Hill did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment.
