The funeral of Queen Elizabeth II took place at Westminster Abbey in London on Monday. The Queen died on September 8 at the age of 96.
King Charles III, who ascended the throne upon the Queen's death, was one of the first royals to arrive ahead of the procession at Westminster Hall.

Meanwhile, other members of the royal family arrived at the nearby Westminster Abbey, where the service was due to take place.
Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, arrived at Westminster Abbey wearing black mourning clothes and a matching hat.

President Joe Biden and his wife Jill were among the foreign world leaders there to pay their respects.
The procession from Westminster Hall to Westminster Abbey began at 10:44 a.m. BST.

As the new sovereign, King Charles led the procession and was followed by his siblings and children.
Prince Harry and Prince William stood united as they paid their respects to their grandmother.

The Queen's coffin was draped in the royal standard, crown, orb, and sceptre.
It was carried into Westminster Abbey by pallbearers and was followed by members of the royal family.

The royal family followed the coffin inside before the funeral began at 11 a.m. BST.
Prince William and Kate Middleton's children, Prince George, age 9, and Princess Charlotte, age 7, were included in the procession inside the abbey.

The Queen's children and their spouses, including Charles and Camilla, Queen Consort, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Princes Edward were seated in the front row.
Prince George, who is second in line to the throne, was pictured standing between his parents in the front row.
