Shania Twain says it was 'really cool' that Taylor Swift wore her face on a T-shirt
  • Shania Twain says it was "really cool" of Taylor Swift to wear a T-shirt with her face on it.
  • The country icon said she feels a connection to Swift, almost like she's "her aunt or something."

It seems like everyone is wearing Taylor Swift T-shirts these days. But what if the "Midnights" musician wore a top with your face on it instead?

That was Shania Twain's experience earlier this month.

During an appearance on Monday's episode of "The Drew Barrymore Show," the country star spoke about her reaction to seeing Swift step out in New York City wearing a blue T-shirt with a photo of her face, name, and the title of her single "Any Man of Mine" on it.

"Isn't she a doll?" Twain responded when asked about Swift. "It's really cool. I think that was sweet of her."

Twain, who Swift has long cited as one of her musical inspirations, went on to say that she feels a connection with the Eras Tour performer.

"I feel like I'm her aunt or something," she said. "We're in sync in a lot of ways, and I really have a lot of respect and compassion for her whole ... the weight of any young artist in her position is enormous. And she just gets through it seemingly so effortlessly — but we all know that it's not. It's a lot of effort, a lot of work. She's a hard, hard worker."

The T-shirt in question was created by music-inspired clothing brand Daydreamer and retails for $88 online.

Swift wore it as part of a casual street-style look, one that also included black bike shorts and New Balance sneakers.

She wore it days before sporting a Kansas City Chiefs windbreaker from WEAR by Erin Andrews while attending one of the NFL team's games.

Like Twain, the sports commenter recently spoke about what it was like to see Swift wear something that related to her.

"This was big, man," Andrews said while appearing on "Late Night With Seth Meyers" on Monday. "If you have anything and she puts it on — if you have a Kleenex company and she wipes her nose — it's like, 'Oh my God!' Yes, this was a huge moment."

Andrews went on to say that she "started screaming and freaking out" when she saw photos of Swift in the jacket, and she also sang her favorite "Swiftie songs" in celebration.
