Roshni Nadar is India’s richest woman with a net worth of ₹36,800 crore, according to the 2019 Wealth Hurun Rich List. She is the 54th most powerful woman in the world according to Forbes World's 100 Most Powerful Women list of 2019.
Born in 1982, Roshni Nadar grew up in Delhi and is a graduate of Masters in Business Administration from Kellogg.

She is also the only child of HCL founder, Shiv Nadar and Kiran Nadar.
She started her career as a news producer in the UK. “Media really excited me. As an undergrad, I majored in radio, television, and film and did internships with CNBC and CNN. My first job was at Sky News in London,” she said during an interview with Forbes.

Roshni Nadar was promoted to executive director and CEO of HCL within a year of her joining the company in 2009 at the age of just 27.
“I am not interested in the technology business, at least not in getting hands-on,” she said 2012 during an interview with the Economic Times.

Roshni Nadar is also a trustee of the Shiv Nadar Foundation, which focuses on education and has established some of India's top colleges and schools.
In her philanthropic efforts, she is also the chairperson of VidyaGyan Leadership Academy, which empowers underprivileged children through education.

She is currently married to Shikhar Malhotra, who is also an executive director and member of the board at HCL, and they have two sons together. He also serves as the vice-chairman and CEO of HCL Healthcare.
