India’s newly appointed Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman will reportedly push for the proportional assignment of tax on global profits at the upcoming G20 Summit in Japan. India is looking to gather more support for its proposal so that companies like Facebook can’t escape taxation by centralising its profits and taxes in Ireland to take advantage of its low tax rates.
