After Bollywood’s superstar Shah Rukh Khan raised the issue that there was intolerance in the country, latest to join him is actor <keyword id="6355923" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Aamir-Khan">Aamir Khan</keyword>. 
 
Aamir, while speaking at an award ceremony of a news daily, said his wife Kiran Rao had asked if they should move out of the country, as she feared for the safety of their children in a climate of insecurity. 
 
Following the Dadri lynching case, many people have raised their concerns over intolerance and sparked debates. So much so that writers, academicians, historians, etc even returned their awards. 
 
“There is an increased sense of despondency over the past 6-8 months. Important that those in power strongly condemn what's wrong. Historians, scientists have had a view to express. Returning awards is one way of getting your point across," said Aamir. 
 
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in UK, had said that there was no place in intolerance in the country. 
 
"Any event in any corner of India - it doesn't matter if there are even one or two incidents - we will not tolerate it and the law will deal with it strictly. India is a vibrant democracy where the lives, views and thoughts of ordinary citizens are protected under the Constitution. We are committed to this," Modi had said in the UK. 
 
However, Aamir’s statement was slammed by another Bollywood actor Anupam Kher. 
 
He took to microblogging site Twitter and condemned Aamir’s remarks on intolerance in India.

Anupam Kher starts shooting for Vivek Agnihotri's 'The Vaccine War'

Mumbai, Jul 12 () Veteran actor Anupam Kher on Sunday said his mother, Dulari, along with brother Raju and his family have tested positive for COVID-19 and are currently under quarantine. Sharing a video on Twitter, Kher said his mother wasn't eating for the past few days and even got her blood tests done, which showed nothing alarming. "But then our doctor advised us to take her to a CT scan centre and get her scanned and it turned out she was COVID positive, mild," he said. "My brother and I also got ourselves tested, where Raju tested mildly positive while I was negative. My sister-in-law and niece also tested mildly positive," the actor added. The 65-year-old actor said while his mother is admitted to Kokilaben Hospital, his brother's family is quarantining at their home. "I've informed the BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) they're working amazingly, efficiently. They will sanitise my brother's residence," he said. The news comes a day after megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan tested positive for COVID-19 and were admitted to Nanavati Hospital. As per BMC, the coronavirus case tally in Mumbai rose to 91,457 on Saturday. There are 22,779 active patients in Mumbai and the doubling rate is 50 days. JUR SHD SHD

‘New generations of <keyword id="180553" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Kashmiri-Pandits">Kashmiri Pandits</keyword> are born in exile, in refugee camps even after 26 years, ain’t that a matter of utter shame?’ 
 Questions like these are pouring in at Twitter as Kashmiri Pandits mark <keyword id="3213798" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="exodus-day">Exodus Day</keyword>. Twenty six ago in 1990, more than 300,000 Kashmiri Pandits, or Kashmiri Hindus, had fled the Valley, during insurgency, with a hope that peace will restore and they will return back. 
 
More than two decades have passed and the successive governments have failed to ensure normalcy for Kashmiri Pandits. While recounting stories during insurgency, Kashmiri Pandits say their homes were burnt and lands were grabbed. The community says they fear the same as the talks have largely remained on papers. 
 
When Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Indian government stormed into power in 2014, he spoke about rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley, along with various welfare schemes. Even President Pranab Mukherjee backed Modi, saying it was an issue of prime importance and Kashmiri Pandits will not be left out in development schemes. 
 
However, an RTI states the opposite. 
 
Mail Today, which had access to an RTI filed by a member of Roots in Kashmir Rasnik Kher, reported that things are at a standstill even after one and a half years. 
 
Kher said there has been talk on the same, neither the Centre nor the state government seems to be interested in the issue. As per Kher, there is no plan. 
 Meanwhile, Bollywood actor <keyword id="6533" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Anupam-Kher">Anupam Kher</keyword> has been active on this issue, raising his voice against the unfair treatment.

A lawyer in the Indian state of Bihar has filed a petition against the people associated with movie about India’s former prime minister, Manmohan Singh. He is alleging that the promotional trailer of the movie has ‘hurt’ his sentiments. That includes the lead actor of "Accidental Prime Minister" Anupam Kher, Akshaye Khanna playing the former prime minister’s media advisor, Suzanne Bernert playing Sonia Gandhi and Aahana Kumra playing Priyanka Gandhi among others. The PIL filed in local courts also claims that the movie projects India and its political leaders unfavourably to the rest of the world. It’s not only about India’s former prime minister, but also other noted Indian politicians like Lalu Prasad, Mayawati and another former prime minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The petition has been filed under the sections of Indian Penal Code that relate to promoting enmity between different groups, sale of obscene objects, insult with intent to provoke breach of peace and criminal conspiracy. What's the big deal?  The main point of contention seems to be that political parties aren’t normally seen propagating commercial films and the timing of the BJP sharing such an update ahead of the 2019 General Elections in India seems to be ill-advised. Others who claim the film is unfair The movie has created such controversy that the President of the Maharashtra State Youth Congress, Satyajeet Tambe Patil, went as far to write a letter to producer of the film demanding a ‘special screening’ ahead of its release. Patil questioned the accuracy of the film stating that there is an ‘incorrect presentation of facts’. Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal tests positive for COVID-19

Mumbai, Jun 17 () Actors Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Rakesh Bedi, and Makarand Deshpande are among the popular names from the film industry to join a fundraising campaign in support of the theatre community. Zee Theatre has partnered with Give India Foundation to support the staff and technicians at the cinema halls who have been badly hit due to the coronavirus-forced lockdown. Kher, Gupta, Bedi along with Divya Dutta, Aahana Kumra and Shikha Talsania feature in a campaign video where they talk about the people who are the backbone of the theatre experience. Shailja Kejriwal, chief creative officer of Zee Special Projects, said the month-long fundraising initiative aims to help those who find themselves without any source of income and are "unlikely to get any relief in the coming months." "It is extremely heartening to see that our initiative has received the support of such stalwarts. Our aim at Zee Theatre is to support the fraternity, the generous donations will go a long way to help them during these trying times," Kejriwal said in a statement. Kher said he instantly came on board to be a part of the fundraiser as he shares a "deep and personal connection" with theatre halls. "No theatrical production is complete without the help and presence of the technicians and support staff. Their survival is vital for our community. I would request everyone to donate generously," he said. Gupta said she feels fortunate to be in a position to help colleagues who are struggling to make ends meet. "Many of the support staff and technicians are worried and helpless because of the uncertainty surrounding the reopening of theatre halls... The <keyword id="13104" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="telugu" source="Orion">Telugu</keyword> blockbuster was released in the Russian language in 774 screens across the country on December 8, said Mythri Movie Makers on its official Twitter page. "#PushpaTheRise is a RAGE in Russia. 25 days and counting of a successful run in 774 screens with a collection of over 10M Rubles," the production banner said in the tweet. Ten million Rubles amount to approximately Rs 13 crore. Also starring Rashmika Mandanna, "Pushpa: The Rise" depicts the rise of a low-wage labourer (Arjun) in the smuggling syndicate of red sandalwood, a rare wood that grows only in the Seshachalam Hills of <keyword id="37102" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="andhra-pradesh" source="Orion">Andhra Pradesh</keyword> state. 'Pushpa: The Rise' raises 10 million Rubles at Russia box office

Mumbai, Disney+ Hotstar on Thursday announced that all episodes of its thriller series "<keyword id="18339147" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="The-Freelancer" source="Orion">The Freelancer</keyword>: The Conclusion" will be available for streaming from December 15. The platform premiered the first four episodes of the show on September 1. Based on Shirish Thorat's book "A Ticket to Syria", the series is created by Neeraj Pandey and directed by Bhav Dhulia. Produced by Shital Bhatia of Friday Storytellers, "The Freelancer" stars Mohit Raina in the title character also known as Avinash, Anupam Kher as analyst Dr. Khan, Kashmira Pardesi as Aliya, a young girl held against her will in a war-torn Syria. Bhatia said they are happy to see "The Freelancer" receive love and appreciation from the audiences. "With 'The Freelancer: The Conclusion' audiences will be taken through the thrilling journey of Aliya and Avinash culminating in an exciting finish!" the producer said in a statement. Raina said his character Avinash Kamath's graph has grown with each episode. "It was the first time I explored something like this and I am glad the audiences thoroughly enjoyed it and are in for a nail biting extraction mission as Avinash is all set to roll in action with 'The Freelancer: The Conclusion'," the actor said. Talking about the series, Kher added, "With the first part, viewers witness Aliya's struggle and with 'The Freelancer: The Conclusion', it is time to take the audiences on the extraction mission as Avinash Kamath risks it all and enters the war stricken zone to rescue Aliya. I am sure the fast-paced action and gripping suspense, will leave the audiences at the edge of their seats." Thirty-six-year-old Saurabh Turakhia was always inclined towards <keyword id="1105" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="art">art</keyword> while he was growing up, like any other child. He looked as <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=art&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">art</a> as nothing but just another hobby. 
 
That notion changed when a neighbourhood teacher, Mrs Soparkar started to teach him and some of his friends how to draw. 
 
“It was under her guidance that art began to grown on me,” Turakhia claims. 
 
For years later, he tried keeping up with his hobby as much as possible, but it was only in 2007 that he gave art a permanent room in his daily life. 
 
 
 
“I was recovering from a terrible setback at that time and found it very difficult to reconcile with the situation at hand. Even though I had a full-time job, surviving the lonely hours after work was over was a struggle. I soon realised that I couldn’t depend on friends to meet everyday and I really needed to let go of angst and it was then that I decided to turn my hobby into a passion.” 
 
Since then he’s been actively sketching and finally took to painting in 2010. 
 
 
 Living in a <keyword id="143" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Bollywood">Bollywood</keyword> country like India and consuming Bollywood movies by the minute, choosing to draw portraits of <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=bollywood&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Bollywood</a> celebrities was an obvious decision. 
 
“Despite the criticism that the Hindi film industry faces now and then for the kind of movies it churns out, Bollywood’s charm has always worked on me since childhood. He soon started putting his work on social media and garnered accolades from across the country. “In a way, I felt vindicated,” he tells me. 
 
 
 
As luck would have it, his social media popularity also got him the opportunity of learning the art of caricature from none other than Vivek Thakkar, the famous caricature artist whose work appeared in Cineblitz. 
 
Turakhia who is a full-time writer wishes to take up art full time once he retires, with the aim to break the myth that art can’t be considered as a full-time occupation. 
 
 
 
“The main reason I want my art to make money is so that anyone who’s inclined to take this path as his career should not face any hesitation from his parents whatsoever,” he concludes.
