The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the Class X results on Monday. The overall <keyword id="20123359" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="pass-percentage" source="keywords">pass percentage</keyword> of 93.60 per cent was recorded. Passing percentage has increased by 0.48 per cent since last year. 25724 schools gave the CBSE class X examinations at 7603 centres. The Trivandrum region registered the highest pass percentage at 99.75 per cent whereas the lowest has been recorded at Guwahati which stood at 77.94 per cent. In the overall Delhi region, a 98.61 per cent pass percentage was recorded. 94.75 per cent of Girls passed the exam whereas 92.71 per cent of boys passed the exam with the Girls outshining boys by 2.04 per cent. Students who sat for the CBSE Class 10 board exams nationwide can view their mark sheets on the <keyword id="21637011" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="CBSE-official-website" source="keywords">CBSE official website</keyword>, cbse.gov.in. The other official websites where CBSE 10th results can be checked are - cbseresults.nic.in, results.cbse.nic.in, cbse.nic.in, digilocker.gov.in, results.gov.in. The results can also be checked on mobile apps- Digilocker and UMANG. In regards to the Class 10 exams, CBSE stated that Science, Mathematics, and Social Science were chosen by 22,62,692 students each. These exams took place over three days at 7612 examination centres, utilising 94,279 rooms, with the assistance of 1,88,558 Assistant Superintendents. CBSE class X examinations were held from February 15 to March 13, 2024. Approximately 39 lakh students appeared for Class 10 and 12 examinations. Students must score a minimum of 33 per cent marks to pass the CBSE class 10 and 12 exams. Looking at the past year's trends, in 2023, the CBSE results were announced on May 12. While in the year 2022, it was declared on July 22. Earlier, CBSE declared Class XII. 87.98 per cent of students passed the board exams. Passing percentage increased by 0.65 per cent since last year. 18417 schools gave the CBSE class XII examinations at 7126 centres. This year the overall pass percentage is 87.98 a 0.65 percent increase since 2023. The Trivandrum region registered the highest pass percentage at 99.91 per cent. CBSE Class 10 board exam results declared

Girls have again outshone boys in the <keyword id="19976140" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="CBSE" source="keywords" meta.keywordsubtype="org" meta.entityname="CBSE" meta.hostid="261" meta.entityid="CBSE">CBSE</keyword> Class 12 <keyword id="19954615" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="board-exams" source="keywords">board exams</keyword>, results for which were declared on Monday with 87.98 per cent students passing the test. Last year, the total pass percentage was 87.33 per cent. Officials said 91.52 per cent girls cleared the <keyword id="19957604" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="exam" source="keywords">exam</keyword>, 6.40 percentage points higher than boys' pass percentage. "A total of 24,068 students have scored above 95 per cent marks while 1,16,145 students have scored above 90 per cent," an official said. More than 1.22 lakh candidates have been placed in 'compartment'. The number this year is slightly less than that of last year, the officials said. This time, more than 16.21 lakh candidates appeared for the exam which was conducted at 7,126 centres. CBSE Class 12 results: 87.98% students pass exams, girls outshine boys

Shubham Verma, also from Sitapur, stood first in the <keyword id="19981413" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Class-12" source="keywords">Class 12</keyword> exam with 97.80 per cent," Education (Secondary) Director Mahendra Dev told PTI. The board conducted the examination in a "record-breaking" number of days, Dev said. "For the first time, the exam was conducted in a record 12 working days. The evaluation of answer sheets was completed in the same number of working days," he added. The officer said 27,49,364 (27.49 lakh) candidates -- 14,39,243 (14.39 lakh) boys and 13,10,121 (13.10 lakh) girls -- appeared for the Class 10 exam. Of the total, 86.05 per cent boys and 93.40 per cent girls cleared the exam. For Class 12, the number of candidates was 24,52,830 (24.52 lakh) -- 13,41,356 (13.41 lakh) boys and 11,11,474 (11.11 lakh) girls, Dev said. The pass percentage was 77.78 for boys and 88.42 for girls.

There will be no merit list to "avoid unhealthy competition", the board announced. The board has also decided to scrap awarding first, second and third divisions based on students' scores, officials said. "No merit list will be declared by the CBSE to avoid unhealthy competition among students. However, the board will issue merit certificates to 0.1 per cent of students who have scored the highest marks in the various subjects," a senior board official said. The pass percentage is higher than the 83.40 recorded in 2019 in the pre-Covid period, the official added. The pass percentage last year was 92.71. Girls continued to outshine boys, recording a six percentage point higher passing rate. Over 16.60 lakh students appeared for the Class 12 examination. The Trivandrum region recorded the highest pass percentage at 99.91 while the Prayagraj region reported the lowest at 78.05. Over 1.25 lakh students have been placed in the compartment category. The board in its notice has warned students and schools that these sample papers should be accessed from the official website - cbseacademic.nic.in - and need not be purchased from any private publisher. "As per NEP 2020 recommendations, the Board had initiated competency-focused education and assessment in its affiliated schools and has recently released practice papers in all major subjects of Classes X and XII," read the notice by CBSE. "These practice papers have been developed to facilitate the students in solving more application-based questions of higher-order thinking skills and enhance conceptual understanding of topics," it said "It has come to the notice of the board that schools and students are being asked to access the CBSE practice papers from certain private publishers sites. The public is advised not to be misled by any claims and promotions" the advisory read. The registration procedure for the board exams 2024 for private students began on September 12 on its official website - cbse.gov.in. Students can proceed with the registration after the release of the form. The deadline to submit the registration form is October 11 and students can submit the form till October 19 with a late of Rs 300 per subject. (ANI)

The people of India are well aware that it is the Indian National Congress which established numerous institutions, laid their solid foundation, and devised mechanisms for their independence, on the basis of the Constitution of India. "Independence of the institutions is paramount, for every civil servant takes oath of the Constitution that they 'will faithfully and conscientiously discharge their duties and will do right to all manner of people in accordance with the Constitution and the law, without fear or favour, affection or ill-will'," he said. "In this spirit we expect every bureaucrat and officer - from top to bottom of the hierarchy, to discharge their duties in the spirit of the Constitution, without any coercion, threat, pressure or intimidation either from the ruling party/coalition or from the opposition party/coalition," the Congress chief said in his letter. He said that the Congress, through the Constitution prepared by inspirational founding members such as Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, B R Ambedkar, Rajendra Prasad, Maulana Azad, Sarojini Naidu and countless others, not only created a framework of strong governance, but also ensured affirmative action through representation of the marginalised in the bureaucracy and the civil society. "The last decade has witnessed a systemic pattern to assault, undermine and suppress our autonomous institutions by the ruling party. India's Democratic ethos are being consequently damaged. There is a widespread tendency to turn India into a regimental dictatorship. "We are increasingly seeing some institutions shedding their independence and brazenly following the diktats of the ruling party. Some have completely adopted their style of communication, their way of functioning, and in some cases even their political rhetoric," Kharge said. But it is not their fault, he said. "With brute power, threat, coercive mechanisms and misuse of agencies, this tendency to bow to the powers that have become a way for their short-term survival. Even though, in this denigration, India's Constitution and Democracy have become a casualty." The Congress chief also said that the "will of the people" is supreme, and people want Indian bureaucracy to again be the same 'Steel frame of India' as envisaged by Sardar Patel. "Indian National Congress now urges the entire bureaucracy, to adhere to the Constitution, enact their duties, and serve the nation, without fear, favour and ill-will against anybody," Kharge said. Counting for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections would be held on Tuesday, and both the ruling NDA and the opposition INDIA bloc have claimed victory. Meanwhile, BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya shared a purported letter of the Congress in which it has asked all its cadres to reach the counting centres. However, there was no confirmation of the letter from the Congress. Such institutions typically offer high school-equivalent certificates for skilled labor and are the gateway for entering fields like IT or electronics.Several consultancy staff spoke to CCTV on camera, saying that they would use the $2,800 as a "relationship fee" for the schools."You don't need to be present, you don't need to go to class," a consultant said in one clip.The broadcaster kept all of its interviewees anonymous, as is the norm for Chinese media when dealing with people who aren't celebrities or politicians."We just need the student's residency registration, their personal information, a photo with a blue background," another consultant said. "Then, after paying the fee, we'll sign a contract, and we'll give you the school registration."Others said on camera that they could help their clients find schools with vacancies or establish ties with institutions chosen by the student.<h2 id="70d5dc72-f84f-4ea0-b4a6-dcc4e42d93eb">China finds schools offering the same services</h2>The broadcaster also published footage of staff from five schools in the same regions directly offering "empty student status."These schools, spread across the automotive, aviation, IT, and engineering industries, said on camera that "empty students" would only have to be present for one roll call per semester.Several said they could arrange for the student to take entire semesters of medical leave. Maintaining the previous trend, girls outshone boys in <keyword id="6356155" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="cbse">CBSE</keyword> class 12 exams this year by a margin of 0.54 percent, while over 70,000 students scored above 95 percent marks. The results were declared by the <keyword id="69419" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Central-Board-of-Secondary-Education">Central Board of Secondary Education</keyword> (CBSE) on Friday. "Girls have done better than boys by 0.54 percent. The pass percentage this year is 99.37 percent. No merit list has been announced," a senior board official said. The result for over 65,000 candidates is still being prepared and will be declared by August 5. A total of 70,004 students have scored above 95 per cent marks while 1,50,152 students have cored above 90 per cent. As many as "6149 students have been placed in compartment," the official said. The board exams were cancelled this year in view of the aggressive second wave of COVID-19, and the result will be announced on basis of an alternate assessment policy by the board.
