<keyword id="10863" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="CapGemini">Capgemini</keyword>, the French multinational information technology consulting corporation might hire over 20,000 people in India this year, having reskilled 45,000 of its employees until May, as it inches towards automation. Last year, the company had hired 33,000 people from the country, and re-skilled 51,000 of its employees. "There is a lot of training. We are investing a lot of money in the development of training programmes because automation and the integration of automation is leading to a lot of opportunity for our workforce," <keyword id="2882059" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Christopher-Stancombe">Christopher Stancombe</keyword>, head, industrialisation and automation, Capgemini, told <a href="http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/tech/ites/capgemini-may-hire-over-20000-in-india/articleshow/59451941.cms">ET</a>. The company presently has a workforce of about 100,000 people in India. This is against the industry trend, since most IT companies have been on a firing spree, citing automation and digitisation. As per <keyword id="6372077" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Nasscom">Nasscom</keyword>'s annual review, jobs grew only by 5% in FY17 and it might be down to 20-25% reduction in the coming three years. "We have been more focused on the positive side. We are seeing that it is releasing people's time to enable them to do other things -a bit more analytics, customer care. Capgemini might hire over 20,000 employees from India

<img class="gwt-Image" src="/photo/47530158.cms" />To enhance <keyword id="6354716" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Nokia">Nokia</keyword>'s business productivity and growth, French IT services giant <keyword id="10863" type="COMPANY" weightage="80" keywordseo="CapGemini">Capgemini</keyword> has secured a multi-million euro contract extension from the telecom equipment maker. The contract has been extended for three years. 
 

	The agreement would see Capgemini continuing to optimise Nokia's order management operations worldwide, a PTI report said. 
	 

	Capgemini started working with Nokia since 2010. The contract, which was due to expire in 2017, has now been extended to October 2020. 

	The French IT services would continue to provide customer order management services, including preparation for delivery, distribution and customer invoicing to Nokia throughout its global network. "We have a strong relationship with Nokia and are proud to be providing them with world class supply chain business process outsourcing services to help drive and enhance Nokia's business productivity and growth," Capgemini CEO BPO and Member of the <keyword id="2882281" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="60" keywordseo="Group-Executive-Committee">Group Executive Committee</keyword> <keyword id="2882059" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Christopher-Stancombe">Christopher Stancombe</keyword> said. 
	 

	With over 1.45 lakh people in over 40 countries, Capgemini reported 2014 global revenues of 10.573 billion euros. 
	 

	In India, Capgemini has over 60,000 people across nine cities (Mumbai, Gurgaon, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata and Chennai - Trichy and Salem).
