Ahlawat was shot in the head and died on the spot, the police said. Police also mentioned that the body had been sent for autopsy and the local CCTV footage was obtained. Delhi Police suspected a personal enmity and claimed that the attacker had been identified, but no arrests have been made as of now. Three empty cartridges of bullets were found with multiple gunshots from the crime scene, adding a case has been registered, the police <a href="https://www.outlookindia.com/newsscroll/woman-cop-shot-dead-near-rohini-east-metro-station/1729095">said</a>. Ahlawat was posted in Delhi at the Patparganj Industrial Area police station. The sub-inspector belonged to Sonipat, Haryana and was presently staying at a rented apartment in Rohini. The news came less than 12 hours before Delhi election polling were left. The Delhi Police have tight security arrangements in place across the national capital as the polling began at 8 am today for 70 assembly seats in Delhi. Police and paramilitary personnel have been deployed at various polling booths, and the chief electoral office in Delhi is closely monitoring ‘critical’ polling booths at Shaheen Bagh with the help of CCTV cameras. By Abhishek Hore New Delhi, Jul 9 () The National Rifle Association of India is "encouraged" by Sports Authority of India's decision to open the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range but the federation will take into consideration the COVID-19 situation while finalising the venue for organising its Olympic camp. Hoping for a mid-August resumption of camps for its Olympics core group after weeks of inactivity, the NRAI office-bearers have a meeting scheduled for July 15 to review the situation and explore various options. "The federation has an open mind regarding venues but this initiative of SAI is definitely encouraging and will have a strong bearing on its decisions given the obvious advantages of the Karni Singh Range," an NRAI source told . "NRAI was pre-scheduled to meet on July 15th to review and formalise its activity, resumption of camps, calendar and that remains on course." The feeling within the federation is that SAI's move will help the NRAI "plan better in drawing up its training schedule" for the core group of 34 shooters. "NRAI has taken note of the SAI release and the fact that the Karni Singh range has been now made available for Olympic bound shooters for practice and training purposes. "This will now help the NRAI plan better in drawing up its training schedule for the already identified Olympic core group," a federation insider said. Besides the national capital, some of the other options the NRAI has at the moment for conducting camps are facilities in places such as Bengaluru and Bhopal. The NRAI recently announced a core group, including the 15 Tokyo Olympics quota holders, who will be training separately for the quadrennial sporting extravaganza, scheduled to be held next summer after the COVID-19 pandemic pushed the Games back by a year. A few days later, SAI decided to allow shooters train at the Dr Karni Singh range that was shut since March due to the pandemic. In a statement earlier this week, SAI said full-intensity training of Indian shooters will start in a phased manner. As per the arrangement, shooters willing to practice individually currently are required to book online training slots to avoid crowding at the Karni Singh range, which will have the facility of thermal screening in place. Last month, Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju, in a virtual meet with representatives of various National Sports Federations (NSFs), said competitive sporting events can start without spectators from August. Finalising venue for shooting camp will depend on COVID-19 situation

New Delhi, Apr 21 () After constantly rising for the past several months, the volume, as well as value, of transactions through UPI payment system dropped in March due to the 21-day nationwide lockdown imposed to combat the coronavirus infection. Unified Payments Interface (UPI) is an instant payment system developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), an RBI regulated entity. UPI is built over the IMPS infrastructure and allows one to instantly transfer money to any bank account. According to the data, the volume of UPI transactions in March slipped to 124.68 crore from 132.57 crore in February. The value of UPI transactions too came down to Rs 2.06 lakh crore during March, from Rs 2.23 lakh crore in February. The number and value of transactions through the UPI had been constantly growing, barring marginal decline in some months. The 21-lockdown imposed by the government with effect from March 25 to fight coronavirus seems to have adversely impacted the transactions through UPI. The real impact, however, will be known once the transactions data for April is known. The lockdown has been extended till May 3, though with some concessions. The NPCI data on IMPS (Immediate Payment Service) revealed the number of transactions fell to 21.68 crore in March from 24.78 crore in the previous month. There was also a decline in the value of transactions during March to Rs 2.01 lakh crore from 2.14 lakh crore in February. IMPS provides real-time fund transfer which offers an instant, 24X7, interbank electronic fund transfer service that could be accessed on multiple channels like Mobile, Internet, ATM, SMS, Branch and USSD (*99#). The 24X7 IMPS empowers customers to transfer money instantly through banks and RBI authorised Prepaid Payment Instrument Issuers (PPI) across India through mobile phone, internet banking and ATM. Meanwhile, an RBI data revealed that value of Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) transactions shot up to Rs 120.47 lakh crore in March, up 34 per cent over February. UPI transactions drop in March, RTGS shoots up due to lockdown

Hike in petrol prices may not have brought tears in the eyes of Delhiites, but here is another expected price rise that could certainly make many cry. The rates of liquor is likely to increase by 8 to 12% as the revised <keyword id="6356916" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="40" keywordseo="excise-duty">excise duty</keyword> regime and increased retailers margin component on liquor, notified by the <keyword id="6354952" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="Delhi-Government">Delhi government</keyword>, would come into effect from Tuesday (July 1).
 

	In order to promote fair play and make the liquor trade look more profitable, the Delhi government has decided to increase the retailer's profit margin.
 As per the revised list, the retailer's profit margin component on <keyword id="6359860" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="beer">Beer</keyword>, <keyword id="2392253" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Alcopop">Alcopop</keyword> has been increased from the existing 8% to 12% of wholesale price. The retailer's profit margin on <keyword id="6438859" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Indian-made-foreign-liquor">Indian Made Foreign Liquor</keyword> (IMFL) has been hiked from the existing 15-18% of the wholesale price. The retailer's profit margin on country liquor (Delhi Medium Liquor) has moved up from 3 to 6%. 

	The rates of beer have been increased by Rs 5 and Rs 20 per bottle and prices of IMFL have gone up by Rs 25 and Rs 40 per bottle.
 With the increase in rates, the <keyword id="2392251" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="40" keywordseo="Department-of-Excise-Entertainment-Luxury-Tax">Department of Excise Entertainment &amp; Luxury Tax</keyword> aims to collect additional Rs 250 crore as it was unable to meet its revenue target of Rs 3,200 crore in the last financial year and earned revenue of Rs 3,151 crore.
