<ul><li>Bajaj Auto announced its earnings for the first quarter of FY20. </li><li>Bajaj Auto’s profits stood at ₹1126 crores as compared to ₹1115 crores in the same quarter last year. </li><li>Its share price jumped by 4% after it announced earnings.</li></ul>Bajaj Auto’s share price jumped by over 4% as the country’s leading two and three-wheeler maker gave up margin for more market share. The company led by Chief Executive Officer Rajiv Bajaj in the domestic motorcycle segment, has a market share of 18.3% against 16.3% in Q1FY19. Meanwhile, in the sports segment, the company continues to enjoy a market share of nearly half the segment. This came at a cost. Overall margins shrank to 16.1% from 18.3% because automobile demand has been on a downtrend last few months. At a time when the sales for the entire two-wheeler industry fell 9%, Bajaj Auto clocked a 1.6% growth in sales between April and June 2019. Bajaj Auto’s profits stood at ₹1126 crores, just a tad higher than the figure the same time last year. It’s consolidated profit after tax stood at ₹1012 crores, down 2.8% from a year earlier. Bajaj Auto share price spikes as company gains market share

These are the stocks to watch out for during the trading session on October 22: Bajaj Finserv The private lender Bajaj Finserv reported an 18% fall in its consolidated net profit to ₹986.29 crore for the quarter ended September 30, as group entities suffered a contraction in profits. The company’s overall income rose 5.8% to ₹15,051.59 crore during the quarter under review. The shares of Bajaj Finserv ended 0.72% lower on Wednesday. DLF Realty major DLF’s rental arm has signed a deal with Standard Chartered GBS. DLF will be leasing 7.7 lakh sq ft office space in an upcoming commercial tower in Chennai. The shares of DLF ended 2.87% higher on Wednesday. Prestige and Brigade Bengaluru-based developers Prestige and Brigade Group have partnered to develop a shopping mall and a hotel in Chennai at the cost of around ₹500 crore. The two leading developers have jointly taken 7.5-acre land on a 99-year lease in Chennai. The shares of Prestige ended 3% lower on Wednesday, whereas Brigade was up over 4%. Kirloskar Brothers Regulator SEBI has slapped a penalty of ₹31 crore on Kirloskar Brothers Ltd (KBL) promoters and others for indulging in insider trading and committing fraud on public shareholders of Kirloskar Industries. Also, the entities have been barred from the capital market for a period ranging three months to six months, the regulator said in three separate orders on Tuesday. The shares of Kirloskar Brothers ended 0.18% lower on Wednesday. Aavas Financiers Aavas Financiers board approved to raise up to ₹100 crore via bonds. The shares of Aavas Financiers ended 0.44% lower on Wednesday. Equitas Small Finance Bank IPO The initial public offering (IPO) of Equitas Small Finance Bank was subscribed 67% on the second day of bidding. The portion reserved for qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) was subscribed 5%, non-institutional investors 5% and retail investors 142%. Covid-19 induced economic turbulence pulled down two-an d three-wheeler manufacturer <keyword id="6359783" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="bajaj-auto">Bajaj Auto</keyword>'s total sales in July by 33 per cent on a year-on-year basis. According to the company, its total sales during the month under review fell to 2,55,832 units from 3,81,530 units sold during the corresponding month of 2019. Similarly, Bajaj Auto's total domestic sales stood at 1,58,976 units -- down 23 per cent -- from 2,05,470 units sold in July last year. The two- and three-wheeler manufacturer's overall exports declined by 45 per cent to 96,856 units from 1,76,060 units shipped out during the like month of 2019. In term of two-wheelers, the company's total sales fell 26 per cent to 2,38,556 units from 3,22,210 units sold in July last year. The company's commercial vehicles' sales during the month under review declined by 71 per cent to 17,276 units from 59,320 units sold during the like period of last year.

participants awaited the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) monetary policy outcome on December 8. <a
