Four Indian-American teenagers have received the Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes for making a positive difference in people's lives, communities, and the environment.<br /><br />The winners include <keyword id="15151955" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="karina-samuel" source="Orion">Karina Samuel</keyword>, 17, from Florida; <keyword id="15151954" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="karun-kaushik" source="Orion">Karun Kaushik</keyword>, 17, from California; <keyword id="15151953" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="laalitya-acharya" source="Orion">Laalitya Acharya</keyword>, 18, from Ohio; and <keyword id="15151951" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="sri-nihal-tammana" source="Orion">Sri Nihal Tammana</keyword>, 13, from New Jersey.<br /><br />Established in 2001 by author T.A.Barron, the Barron Prize is a non-profit organisation annually honouring 25 outstanding young leaders from ages 8 to 18. The award celebrates inspiring, public-spirited young people from diverse backgrounds all across North America.<br /><br />Every year, 15 top winners are each awarded $10,000 to support their service work or higher education.<br /><br />Karina Samuel was honoured for founding the Florida chapter of Bye Bye Plastic Bags (BBPB), a student-led non-profit committed to reducing the amount of plastic on the planet. In the past three years, she has mobilised more than 1,000 volunteers to join over 175 coastal cleanups across the state.<br /><br />Karun Kaushik has created X-Check-MD, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) software that can diagnose Covid-19 and pneumonia with 99 per cent accuracy in under one minute.<br /><br />Laalitya Acharya has invented <keyword id="15151952" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="nereid" source="Orion">Nereid</keyword> - a low-cost, globally applicable device that can detect water contamination within seconds. Her system uses Artificial Intelligence and can be placed directly into water pipes to detect microbial water contamination at low concentrations before it spreads.<br /><br /><keyword id="10388434" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="nihal-tammana" source="Orion">Nihal Tammana</keyword>'s non-profit, <keyword id="10388433" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="recycle-my-battery" source="Orion">Recycle My Battery</keyword>, installs free battery recycling bins and educates young people and adults about battery recycling. In just three years he has built a team of 220 student volunteers across the globe who have recycled nearly 200,000 batteries and educated millions of people.<br /><br />Since its inception, the Barron Prize has awarded more than half a million dollars to hundreds of young leaders and has won the support of the National Geographic Education Foundation, Girl Scouts of the USA, and the <keyword id="15151956" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="national-youth-leadership-council" source="Orion">National Youth Leadership Council</keyword>, among other organisations.

<p><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;">But the press revolving a new </span><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;">megamarina being constructed on the Mediterranean's island's southwest tip suggest it's not just Russian titans who do business there. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;">The Limassol Marina is <a href="http://www.limassolmarina.com/limassol-marina-overview">billed</a></span><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;"> as "an exclusive waterfront development designed by a world-renowned team of architects and engineers," it would  "combine elegant residences and a state-of-the-art marina with exclusive restaurants and shops, to create a lifestyle uniquely shaped by 'living on the sea'."</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;">While the marina's UK sales reps did not respond to our email, we did notice that the website is available in </span><a href="http://www.limassolmarina.ru/">Russian</a><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;"> and </span><a href="http://www.limassolmarina.cn/">Chinese</a><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;"> translations. And one account from the website SigmaLive also </span><a href="http://www.sigmalive.com/inbusiness/news/property/309088">claims interest</a><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.5em;"> from "Russia, Israel, Arab Countries and Scandinavia and various countries of Central Europe."</span></p>
<p>The prices also suggest a unique clientele. Apartments <a href="http://www.limassolmarina.com/residential-properties-in-cyprus">range</a> from €370,000 to €2,090,000, while a villa will <a href="http://www.limassolmarina.com/villas-for-sale-cyprus">set you back</a> between €1,650,000 - €6,400,000. </p>
<p>Boat berths — which can accommodate vessels up to 1,000 meters — can <a href="http://www.limassolmarina.com/berth-tariffs">cost</a> north of €150,000 a year.</p>
<p>The project is actually still under construction — 90 percent of the project’s marine works and 50 percent of the residential development and infrastructure have been completed as of Jan. 1, <a href="http://www.limassolmarina.com/news">the site says</a>. They've done at €86 million so far.</p>
