<keyword id="3607738" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="pulla">Pulla</keyword> (<keyword id="37102" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Andhra-Pradesh">Andhra Pradesh</keyword>), Bringing back memories of December's <keyword id="1400219" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="mysterious-illness">mysterious illness</keyword> in Andhra Pradesh's <keyword id="242072" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Eluru">Eluru</keyword> in <keyword id="397374" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="West-Godavari">West Godavari</keyword> district, Pulla village has seen 24 such cases of <keyword id="1289782" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="convulsions">convulsions</keyword> till 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pulla is 30 km north east of Eluru town where the mysterious illness cases are being reported from Monday. "Total cases reported so far, 24, active cases, three," said an official. Out of the active cases, two are currently admitted in Pulla primary health centre while one more case has been referred to the district hospital in Eluru. As many as 21 people have been discharged. According to officials, 15 beds have been made ready at Pulla PHC, 30 in Bhimadole and 50 in Eluru to admit future cases. The affected patients exhibited symptoms similar to the Eluru cases such as fainting, frothing, convulsions, vomiting and others. Mysterious illness strikes Andhra Pradesh: After Eluru, nearly 24 cases emerge in Pulla village

 Normal life was disrupted as heavy rains lashed <keyword id="52887" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Guntur">Guntur</keyword> district of <keyword id="37102" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Andhra-Pradesh">Andhra Pradesh</keyword>. At least nine people have been killed due to 12 hours of heavy rains and floods. Railways and roadways are also heavily affected due to flooding. The <keyword id="58585" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="NDRF">NDRF</keyword> has been deployed for rescue and relief operations. 
 Trains have been canceled on Nadikudi-Guntur section, and express trains from <keyword id="6354398" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Secunderabad">Secunderabad</keyword>, which normally pass through Guntur, have been diverted as the rail tracks near Piduguralla. 
 
The patients from the TB hospital in Chilkalurpet had to be shifted to another place as the hospital got submerged in the flood water. 
One APSRTC bus got trapped in the flood near Utukuru village in Krosur mandal. They were rescued by locals and police. People have to wade through waist –deep water at several places, while the reservoirs and tanks were overflowed. 
 
Nakarikallu recorded an astonishing 24.1 cm rainfall; Narasaraopet recorded 22.4 cm; Medikonduru 21 cm; Bellamkonda 19.1 cm and Muppalla 18.6 cm. 
 Guntur collector <keyword id="2759786" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Kantilal-Dande">Kantilal Dande</keyword> met chief secretary SP Tucker and told him of the situation. 
 
An Army helicopter was deployed so as to rescue bus passengers at Krosur. After a seven-hour arduous exercise, locals towed away the bus to safety with ropes. 
 
The sudden overflowing of local streams caught many villages unawares, resulting in more than a dozen people getting washed away at various places. While locals rescued some of them, at least five people are yet to be traced. 
 Seeing the terrible condition, chief minister N <keyword id="6354350" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Chandrababu-Naidu">Chandrababu Naidu</keyword> put the district collectors on high alert and directed ministers Nimmakayala Chinarajappa and P <keyword id="369949" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Pulla-Rao">Pulla Rao</keyword> to rush to Narasaraopet to supervise relief operations.
