New Delhi, Shree <keyword id="70097" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Renuka-Sugars" source="Orion">Renuka Sugars</keyword> Ltd has reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 205.6 crore in the second quarter of this fiscal year. Its net loss stood at Rs 141.6 crore in the year-ago period. Total income rose to Rs 2,564.7 crore in the July-September period of this fiscal year from Rs 2,203.3 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, according to a regulatory filing on Wednesday. Total expenses increased to Rs 2,771.9 crore in the period under review, from Rs 2,335.1 crore a year ago. Shree Renuka Sugars, a subsidiary of Singapore-based Wilmar Sugar Holdings Pte Ltd, is one of India's largest sugar and green energy (ethanol and renewable power) producers.

New Delhi, Feb 13 () Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd, a Wilmar group company, on Thursday reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 208.6 crore in the quarter ended December. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 311.1 crore in the year-ago period. Total income dipped to Rs 1,003.9 crore in the third quarter of this fiscal from Rs 1,140 crore in the corresponding period of previous year. "As on December 31, 2019, the current liabilities of the group exceeds its current assets by Rs 3,311 crore. The group has incurred continuing losses in the previous year ended March 31, 2019, and in current nine months period ended December 31, 2019 before exceptional items. The group has negative net worth of Rs 569.9 crore as at December 31, 2019. The group management expects to generate operational cash-inflows in the next 12 months, which will support the group to meets its near future cash obligations," the company said in a regulatory filing. Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd (SRSL) is one of the largest sugar manufacturers and refiners in India. It is present across sugar, ethanol, co-generation, trading and engineering segments. fuel in vehicles. Sugar companies witness a sweet rally on ethanol excitement that may continue in 2022 as well

New Delhi, Apr 3 () The National Stock Exchange has shortlisted five companies, including Infrastructure and Torrent Pharmaceuticals, with higher levels of pledged shares by promoters for surveillance action.The exchange will levy a minimum margin of 35 per cent on the respective shares, including on stocks in the derivatives segment.Max India, DCM Shriram and Jindal Stainless are the other three companies identified for surveillance action, according to a circular dated April 1."The applicable rate of margin in equity and equity derivatives segment shall be 35 per cent or existing margin, whichever is higher with effect from April 8 on all open positions as on April 7 and new positions created from April 7," the bourse said.In addition, the exchange has dropped six companies from surveillance action category for having higher levels of pledged shares by promoters.These firms are - Future Supply Chain Solutions, Dish TV India, Hindustan Construction Company, Shree Renuka Sugars, Jindal Stainless (Hisar) Ltd, Sterling and Wilson Solar.It also noted that shortlisting of securities under this surveillance measure is purely on account of market surveillance and it should not be construed as an adverse action against the concerned company.In October, stock exchanges had decided to take additional surveillance measures from November 1 in order to reduce volatility in stocks having higher levels of pledged shares by their promoters.Under the framework, the exchanges would levy minimum margin of 35 per cent on the stock (including stocks in derivatives segment) where promoters pledged their holding by more than 25 per cent of the total equity capital and have a market capitalisation of over Rs 1,000 crore. This can be one of the triggers for the fall. Another 5% correction could happen in the next 15-20 days due to global weak sentiment,” said Abhishek Jain, chief market strategist at BP Equities. Cements stocks like Shree Cements fell after a report indicated that cement companies have dropped plans to hike prices for the month of November. “Cement prices have seen some correction especially in eastern market and in western market there was a hike after Diwali, which has been reversed right now,” added Jain. The top five gainers on the Nifty 50 were all auto stocks after Morgan Stanley said that the chip shortage, which had stalled production for car makers around the world, may be easing finally. A similar commentary from Uttar Pradesh-based electronic products manufacturer Dixon Technologies took the shares higher. <div type="image" title="dixon" height="900" width="1200" msid="87736216" hostid="261"></div> Some of the most traded stocks on the National Stock Exchange ⁠— the largest by volume ⁠— were auto parts makers Mahindra CIE and Suprajit Engineering, and cloud solutions company Tanla Platforms. All three stocks saw nearly ten times the volume of shares traded on an average in the last five days, and all three of them gained over 5% today. Aegis Health and P&amp;G Health hit a 52-week low today. Investors continued to dump shares of IndusInd Bank and Hindalco and both shares are now among the biggest losers on the Nifty 100 index in the last one month. Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), the billion dollar company that has a near monopoly in railway ticket bookings and catering, jumped 1.8% today. Still, it’s shareholders have lost over 21% of the value in the last one month. These are the stocks to watch out for during the trading session today: TVS Motor The members of the $8.5 billion TVS family decided to restructure the ownership of various companies, a measure which does not involve payment of brand royalty to the family members or their holding companies. The share price of TVS Motor closed 0.42% lower on Thursday. IRCTC The offer-for-sale for the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corp (IRCTC) was subscribed nearly two times on day by the non-retail investors. The retail investors will get a chance to bid for IRCTC offer-for-sale (OFS) today. The government is planning to sell up to 20% stake in IRCTC through OFS which opened for subscription on Thursday. The share price of IRCTC closed 12% lower on Thursday. HDFC Bank The private lender HDFC Bank informed exchanges that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) had imposed a monetary penalty of ₹10 lakh on the bank for bouncing of subsidiary general ledger (SGL). This led to a shortage of balance in certain securities in the Bank’s CSGL account on November 19, it said. The share price of HDFC Bank closed 2% lower on Thursday. The concern over rising costs elevated after one of the leading players, Asian Paints, reported a fall in profit due to high raw material prices, which is further expected to remain high for some time. Raw material prices have been pushed up due to the high crude oil prices. Note that half of the material used by paint companies are crude oil derivatives. Asian Paints reported a decline in net profit to ₹595 crore in September, below analysts’ expectations. "Steep inflation seen in raw material prices, since the beginning of this calendar year, has been phenomenal and has impacted gross margins across all businesses in the quarter," said Amit Syngle, managing director and chief executive of Asian Paints in a statement to an exchange on October 21. Adding to it, global chip shortage could impact supply of tinting machines which are key for paint dealers. The chip shortage could <a href="https://www.livemint.com/market/mark-to-market/paint-manufacturers-may-face-disruption-from-chip-shortage-11632765366605.html">reportedly</a> impact the supply of tinting machines and the expansion plans of paint companies. These machines help shops create different shades of paints within the store, in line with the requirement of customers. Dealers who use tinting machines do not have to hold large amounts of shades in stock. “We expect delays in (the supply of) tinting machines to remain for a few quarters for most paint companies. We expect less impact on top two companies, Asian Paints and Berger Paints, as they already have a high tinting machine penetration compared to smaller peers," said analysts at Edelweiss Securities, <a href="https://www.livemint.com/market/mark-to-market/paint-manufacturers-may-face-disruption-from-chip-shortage-11632765366605.html">reportedly</a>. Paint makers stress over high raw material costs and fewer tinting machines even as festive demand picks up

New Delhi, Feb 14 () Shree Cement Ltd on Friday reported a consolidated net profit at Rs 311.83 crore for the third quarter ended December 2019. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 329.83 crore in the October-December quarter a year ago, Shree Cement said in a BSE filing. Its total income was at Rs 3,211.65 crore during the quarter under review. It was Rs 3,195.59 crore in the corresponding quarter. Its results are not comparable as it had acquired majority stake in Union Cement Company (UCC), a United Arab Emirates (UAE) based Company on July 11, 2018 through its wholly owned subsidiaries. It had also acquired 100 per cent stake in Raipur Handling and Infrastructure on May 14, 2018 and include results of these companies for entire period. "Hence, results for nine months ended 31st December, 2019 are not comparable with corresponding period of nine months ended 31st December, 2018," it said. Its revenue from the cement segment was at Rs 3,115.22 crore as against Rs 2,918.51 crore in the year-ago period. While revenue from the power segment was at Rs 300.26 crore as against Rs 502.60 crore. Its total expenses was at Rs 2,801.89 crore. Meanwhile, in a separate filing Shree Cement informed the BSE that its board in a meeting held on Friday declared an interim dividend of Rs 110 per equity share of Rs 10 each for the 2019-20 which includes Rs 70 per equity share as normal dividend and Rs 40 per equity share as an additional dividend for the 2019-20. Punjab National Bank Reserve Bank of India has imposed a penalty of ₹1 crore on Punjab National Bank for violating regulatory guidelines. Petronet LNG Petronet LNG has signed a non-binding MoU with the Ministry of Petroleum &amp; Natural Gas with an objective to foray into 'Green Energy and BioFuels' and for setting up of compressed BioGas plants under Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation (SATAT) initiative of the Government. The shares of Petronet LNG ended 2% higher on Friday. Future Consumer The board of Future Consumer has allotted 4.95 crore shares to International Finance Corporation and 1.64 crore shares to Verlinvest SA, consequent to the conversion of compulsorily convertible debentures and outstanding coupons thereon.
