But skywatchers call it Comet ZTF for short.This icy cosmic passerby is painting a green streak across the sky through the first few days of February, reaching its closest point to Earth on Thursday, skimming past from 27 million miles away. According to the FTC, the average check for Amazon Flex drivers included in the settlement will be $422 - but it said the highest payout to a single driver would be more than $28,000. The blood moon will be visible from even the brightest cities, like New York and Los Angeles, according to <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmCK2Pfsh0Y#t=33">NASA's eclipse expert Fred Espenak.</a>
Since the moon will be low in the sky, however, when it reaches totality, you'll need to be high up if you're in a crowded city if you want to watch the moon turn bright red as it approaches the horizon.

In some parts of the world, live skywatchers will be able to see a selenelion eclipse, which only happens when the sun rises around the same time that the eclipsed moon sets. This rare phenomenon is only possible because of an optical illusion that Earth's atmosphere creates - so you can see both the moon and the sun even though they are 180 degrees away from each other.

How To Watch Wednesday Morning's Lunar Eclipse -&#160;Even If It's Cloudy

If you were on the East coast on Tuesday night and saw a bright red streak through the sky, you weren't alone. A <keyword id="6360409" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="60" keywordseo="NASA">NASA</keyword> rocket test left a trail of red light through the night sky, as a test run in preparation for the launch of two upcoming <keyword id="41531" type="COMPANY" weightage="60" keywordseo="space">space</keyword> observation missions, according to <a href="http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/80beats/2013/01/29/nasa-rocket-test-will-streak-red-over-east-coast-tonight">Discover Magazine's 80 Beats blog</a>.

The red glow came from two exploding lithium canisters ignited after launch. They left trails that were high enough to be illuminated by the glow of the sun, turning them red.
These trails were visible from lots of places on the Eastern seaboard (from Canada to Florida). The rocket launched around 6 PM, EST, from Wallops Island, Virginia. Here's the map of where you should have been able to see the red trails:

Here's the rocket as it launched. It then successfully deployed its canisters of lithium. 
Here are a few images of the trails over the East Coast. They are smaller than the trailed made by last year's launch, but, "everything worked as planned," Wallops officials said on the livestream.

There Was A Weird Bright Red Cloud Trail Over The East Coast

That's why skywatchers around the world are lucky to see Comet Pan-STARRS dazzling at its brightest before it starts to get fainter in the night sky throughout the next few weeks. 
Comet Pan-STARRS was discovered in June 2011 by a telescope in Hawaii.
The clump of ice and rocks has been visible to those in the Southern Hemisphere for several weeks, but people in the Northern Hemisphere were able to see it for the first time on Monday, March 11.

The Mason Jar Cafe is located in Benton Harbor, Michigan, a city known for its beaches and rivers."I'M CRYING, YOU'RE CRYING, WE'RE ALL CRYING," the restaurant wrote in the post, which had garnered 3,100 reactions and 361 comments by the time of writing. The restaurant also shared a picture of the receipt, which showed the transaction occurred on February 5. The customer's full name is blurred out, and he is only identified by his first name, Mark.The bill was $32.43, the photo of the receipt shows. The suggested tip amount on the receipt was between 20% and 25%, or from $5.95 to $7.44.But the customer didn't take those suggestions.Instead, a sum of $10,000 was written in as the tip, bringing the customer's total bill to $10,032.43. Business Insider could not independently verify the receipt."In a time where so much is happening, we wanted to share and thank the person who did this life changing act," the restaurant continued writing on Facebook.The restaurant's manager, Tim Sweeney, told the local broadcaster <a target="_blank" href="https://www.woodtv.com/news/michigan/generous-customer-tips-10k-at-benton-harbor-restaurant/">WOOD-TV</a> that the man made the tip as a tribute to a friend who had recently died. Sweeney said the man was in Benton Harbor to attend his friend's funeral."Typically, we'll see every now and then $100," Sweeney told WOOD-TV of tips. "But not ever anything of this gratitude or magnitude," he continued.The tip of $10,000 meant the man had tipped 30,835% of his bill.Sweeney said the server shared the tip with eight other staff members who were working that day."It was just really an act of kindness that impacted so many people," Paige Mulick, who was working at the restaurant that day, told WOOD-TV. Mulick, who's a recent graduate of Western Michigan University, said the money will help pay off some of her student loans."We work hard. We know that some days you're going to make more and some days you're going to make less. That's just part of how it goes. But we hustle hard and I think that a lot of people really deserve this," she added.On average, people in the US tip 16% of their bill when dining out, <a target="_blank" href="https://www.forbes.com/advisor/business/digital-tipping-culture/">per Forbes' 2023 Digital Tipping Culture Survey.</a>It's not the first time a customer has left thousand-dollar tips on a small bill. In September, a group of people <a target="_blank" href="https://www.wthr.com/article/life/heartwarming/utah-restaurant-staff-in-tears-after-customers-leave-10000-tip-monarca-gratuity-surprise/531-794496e9-4a3b-471f-bb47-919927f1ffa1">dining at a Mexican restaurant in Utah left a $10,000 tip.</a> And in July 2022, <a target="_blank" href="https://www.cbsnews.com/pittsburgh/news/pennsylvania-waitress-gets-surprised-with-3000-tip-on-13-25-bill/">a customer at a Pennsylvania restaurant left a $3,000 tip on a $13.25 bill.</a>The Mason Jar Cafe did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Business Insider, sent outside regular office hours.

<ul class="summary-list"><li>Twitter and <keyword id="11892960" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="facebook" source="Orion">Facebook</keyword> encouraged users, especially those in Ukraine, to take measures to protect their accounts on Thursday.</li><li>Russia's military has previously used social <keyword id="11894119" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="media" source="Orion">media</keyword> to manipulate political events, often spreading <keyword id="11919168" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="misinformation" source="Orion">misinformation</keyword>.</li></ul>In the hours after Russia invaded Ukraine on Thursday, social media platforms alluded to users in the country being at increased risk of their accounts being manipulated, a tactic Russia <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2019/11/18/how-russia-weaponized-social-media-got-caught-escaped-consequences/">has used</a> to spread disinformation for years. The recommendations, from Twitter's corporate account and Facebook's director of threat intelligence, ranged from what to do if your account was hacked to preemptively closing an account for safety concerns. Overall, the platforms encouraged users to be mindful of how they operated on the internet, as they are at increased risk due to the conflict. In encouraging people in Ukraine to <a href="https://twitter.com/TwitterSafety/status/1496698664747687942">to protect their accounts</a> on Thursday, Twitter did not mention Russia by name, but posted a thread on avoiding manipulation and listing various methods how to do so. It offered tips and guides on "how to control your account and digital information," first telling users to simply deactivate their accounts if they felt unsafe. Then it explained what to do if an account had been hacked, how to know if it had been, and suggested not tweeting locations. It explained how to disable location tracking on a smartphone altogether. It posted the tips in English, <a href="https://twitter.com/TwitterSafety/status/1496698686780358661">Ukrainian</a>, and <a href="https://twitter.com/TwitterSafety/status/1496698710184628224">Russian</a>. Some hours later, David Agranovich, <keyword id="12416504" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="meta" source="Orion">Meta</keyword>'s director of threat intelligence, said <a href="https://twitter.com/DavidAgranovich/status/1496923033319067668">on Twitter</a> that the company, which recently changed its name from Facebook, added additional features on Wednesday night for users in Ukraine to protect their accounts.Writing entirely in Ukrainian, Agranovich said any user in the region now had a one-click tool to effectively lock their profiles and add security to them, something the company had previously rolled out in select countries in "dangerous situations," like Afghanistan. He also linked to several outside guides offering steps for anyone living or working in Ukraine to protect their digital files and devices."It is important for journalists and activists in Ukraine (and other vulnerable groups)," Agranovich wrote, "to remember that Meta is only one element of the online ecosystem."These companies also face the challenge of increased misinformation on the platforms. The amount of false information on Twitter and Facebook has steadily increased over the last week, according to Cyabra, a platform that monitors disinformation. Since Feb. 14, content referring to Ukraine in a negative way on Twitter has increased 11,000%. The firm also found that 56% of all content about Ukraine on Facebook and Twitter over the last two weeks was created by "inauthentic profiles," like bots or puppet accounts. Russia has long used social media to manipulate political events, often, though not always, by creating and amplifying intentionally false or misleading isinformation. The country used a sophisticated social media misinformation scheme involving hundreds of thousands of fake accounts in attempt to influence the result of the 2016 US election, according to special prosecutor <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2019/04/18/us/politics/mueller-report-document.html">Robert Mueller's report</a>. Russia used <a href="https://krebsonsecurity.com/2011/12/twitter-bots-drown-out-anti-kremlin-tweets/">similar methods in 2011</a> to obscure posts questioning or protesting the results of its own parliamentary elections.A Twitter spokeswoman said the platform is "proactively monitoring for emerging narratives" that violate its use rules, including "identifying and disrupting attempts to amplify false and misleading information and to advance the speed and scale of our enforcement."Representatives from Facebook, TikTok and YouTube did not respond to requests for comment about their strategy or moderation efforts around Russia-Ukraine content. In a separate post to Twitter, Nathaniel Gleicher, Facebook's head of security policy did say the company had formed "a special operations center to respond in real time" to the conflict and content around it. "It is staffed by experts (including native speakers) so we can closely monitor the situation and act as fast as possible," Gleicher added. And notably, Takahashi also included tips for dealing with body odor. Near the bottom right of her infographic, the singer sketched a drawing of a person taking a bath, with her suggestion of bathing before the concert to avoid bothering others with body odor.Many of her fans were impressed by her hand-drawn infographic, and others were amused by the small detail about bathing.
