Bedi, the former Indian captain and one of the greatest left-arm spinners, died on Monday at the age of 77 after battling prolonged illness. He is survived by his wife Anju, actor-son Angad and daughter Neha. "Growing up our lives are moulded by the spirit, the gusto and sheer grace of people who we see and experience around us. Mr. #BishanSinghBedi was one of them. May God bless his soul &amp; thank u Sir for teaching us so much about sports &amp; life. You will be missed immensely. "A man who was adored not just for his cricketing prowess but also for the honesty and integrity he carried in his heart. He was a true maestro of the game and an inspiration to so many. May his legacy continue to inspire generations. Rest in peace, Bedi Sir," the actor posted on the microblogging site. Sanjay Dutt said cricket has lost a legend today. "...But the memories and moments created by Bishan Singh Bedi ji will live on forever. My thoughts are with his family and the entire cricketing community as we mourn this profound loss." Veteran actor Satish Shah posted,"We have lost a precious jewel of Indian cricket in Bishansingh Bedi." Filmmaker Kunal Kohli said India has lost an icon. "#BishenSinghBedi will always remain a Legend. One of the greatest spinners in the world. The nation has lost an icon. A sporting giant," he wrote on X. Born in Amritsar in 1946, Bedi played 67 Tests for India and took 266 wickets with 14 five-wicket hauls and one 10-wicket haul. He was one of the most admired Indian captains and he led the team for nearly four years in Test cricket between 1975 and 1979 after Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi's retirement.

The movie released in 2009 was a superhit starring Aamir Khan, Madhavan and Sharman Joshi and loosely based on Chetan Bhagat’s Five Point Someone. The survey conducted amongst 3,000 Hindi-film goers analyzed films released between January 1990 to September 2023. The report which picked the top 100 movies, is based on audience equity. Ormax believes that franchises have a long way to go in the Hindi film industry. “Franchise films have been a dominant force driving the growth and stability for Hollywood over the past two decades. The contribution of franchise films to the Hindi theatrical domestic box office has grown from a mere 17% in 2019 to 45% in 2023,” said Sanket Kulkarni, head of business development (theatrical), Ormax Media. Hollywood has made popular movie franchises be it Justice League, Marvel, Star Wars and more. It also has long-running franchises like Fast and the Furious as well as Scream. The Indian film industry has recently kickstarted the trend with the highly successful Bahubali series as well as KGF. The audience also picked popular franchises of Gadar, which recently had a second superhit sequel this year. Then there was also Dhoom where three movies have been made starring John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan as protagonists. They also picked Sunil Shetty, Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal starrer Hera Pheri, even as its sequel bombed at the box office. Surprisingly, none of Rohit Shetty’s action films with a cop universe like Singham and Simmba feature in the list. But Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam, which is an adaptation of a Malayalam movie of the same name, made the cut. The other movie that made the cut is Vicky Kaushal’s Uri: The Surgical Strike. “As the theatrical landscape increasingly leans toward event-driven films, choosing the right film to expand or initiate the franchise can go a long way in creating a powerful theatrical product,” said Kulkarni. Audiences want more sequels: SRK’s Pathaan, Jawan and Chak De hold the most franchise potential

From training Sooraj in building his physique to being with him at movie’s press conferences, Salman is using his experience in the industry as well as his star-status to create buzz for the movie. 
 
A few days back, images of Salman in a recording studio went around the internet, forcing us to think if the ‘<a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Salman-Khan-scolds-Twitter-followers-like-a-Bhai/articleshow/47612143.cms">bhai</a>’ of <keyword id="143" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Bollywood">Bollywood</keyword> has lent his voice to the film. This has indeed happened, as confirmed by a teaser of Salman singing a love song, which would make the title track of the movie. 
 The song is ‘Main Hoon <keyword id="7029" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Hero">Hero</keyword> Tera’ and would feature the lead actors of the movie. The teaser was shared by Khan himself, on the social networking site Twitter.

However, it’s for the first time that Salman has sung for someone else, and in fact, he is the only Bollywood actor of his times to have done so.
