The NY Cinemas in Ratlam is inspired by the famous train scene of ‘Jab We Met’ starring Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor.

Devgn felt the old-time charm of going to single-screens is lost. He wants to bring that back but without compromising on modern amenities and international standards of audio, video, and comfort.
Apart from Ratlam, the cinema is operational in 7 cities including Hapur, Greater Noida, Pilkhuwa, Rae Bareli, Ghazipur, Bhuj, and Surendranagar

The brand new cinema has 452 seating capacity — which so far is the highest in Ratlam.
If the logistics are favourable, NY Cinemas will have 40-45 screen by the end of March 2020, said Rajeev Sharma.
