President Donald Trump insisted on Tuesday that his White House is not in chaos days after his top aide, Hope Hicks, resigned and Jared Kushner, his son-in-law and adviser, was stripped of his top-secret security clearance, and amid top economic adviser Gary Cohn's threats to resign over Trump's position on steel and aluminum tariffs.

"The new Fake News narrative is that there is CHAOS in the White House. Wrong!" Trump tweeted. "People will always come & go, and I want strong dialogue before making a final decision. I still have some people that I want to change (always seeking perfection). There is no Chaos, only great Energy!"

The president argued that the resignations of top staffers moves the White House closer to "perfection" and suggested that other resignations or firings are planned.

Multiple news outlets have reported that morale among White House staffers is low, sinking further after staff secretary Rob Porter resigned amid allegations of domestic violence, the president lashed out at Attorney General Jeff Sessions, calling his leadership of the Justice Department "disgraceful," and amid reported tension between Kushner, Ivanka Trump, and chief of staff John Kelly.
