The meme circulated on social media after numerous reports suggested he was interested in purchasing the land, which is inhabited by roughly 56,000 people. The president's son Eric Trump also shared the meme on Monday.

Trump reportedly asked his staff to research whether the purchase was viable. The land includes the US's Thule Air Base.
