news06:23Armenian civilians race to get supplies to front lines of regional warVolunteers in Armenia and the diaspora are rushing to get supplies to hospitals, soldiers, and civilians... in Artsakh and nearby villages. On September 27th, war broke out in The Republic of Artsakh, more commonly known as Nagorno-Karabakh, a breakaway region between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Kooyrigs, which translates to "sisters" in Armenian, is a human rights organization who has been delivering medical aid and food to soldiers and displaced civilians. They've been making deliveries that include everything from medication and crutches to hospitals in Goris and Stepanakert, where soldiers are being treated. The team has also been able to pack and deliver meal kits to the frontlines. Delivering the aid comes with obstacles as access to Artsakh is limited and of high risk. The capital city Stepanakert, Artsakh (or Nagorno-Karabakh) has been heavily shelled by constant attacks leaving civilians lives in danger, many displaced in nearby Armenian villages, or hiding in bunkers.
