WHITE HOUSE: Trump is 'not a liar'

"I can definitively say the president is not a liar and I think it's frankly insulting that question would be asked," Sanders said, according to CNN.
Sanders' remark came in response to former FBI Director James Comey's Thursday testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee, during which he repeatedly called into question Trump's honesty.
Comey said that the administration wrongly attempted to paint the FBI as in "disarray" and him as unpopular within the bureau in order to justify Trump's decision to fire Comey last month.
"The administration then chose to defame me and more importantly the FBI by saying that the organization was in disarray, that it was poorly led, that the workforce had lost confidence in its leader," Comey said. "Those were lies, plain and simple."
He also said that he had taken careful notes of his conversations with Trump in part because he was worried the president would misrepresent their interactions in the future.
"I was honestly concerned he might lie about the nature of our meeting," Comey said.
