A first-of-its-kind app is now available on the Android platform that has been developed by a young Indian lawyer (Kanishk Agarwal) with support from the Delhi Bar Association. This app is called Indian Bare Acts Pack, which puts many Indian laws and acts under one roof. Compatible with most Android devices, this app caters to practising or budding lawyers who want to refer to those at the press of a button.

It also means this app will do away with the books. One does not need to carry those big, ungainly books if it is installed on your Android mobile. This mobile app features many legal bare acts such as the Indian Penal Code, the Code of Criminal Procedure, the Indian Evidence Act, the Code of Civil Procedure and more. Users can bookmark sections, add notes and search the content using keywords.

Once downloaded, the app works in offline mode and all the acts can be referred to without using the Internet. The team behind the app is planning to expand this software further and will introduce more Indian laws and acts (such as the Income Tax Act) in the next version. Also, we should be able to see an iOS version of the app soon.
